With the PSN being hit recently, many gamers are actually considering the switch. The forbidden betrayal a gamer makes as he switches over to a rival console is bittersweet. Its been ten days since the PSN was down. With the risk of hackers having our credit card information as well as our personal information, making the switch is presented as an escape.

A survey taken by CouponCodes4U asked 2,132 people a bundle of questions regarding the current PSN situation. 21% of the answers revealed that users are more than likely to make the switch between consoles. Shockingly, the loss for Sony is dramatic, and is expected to be along $24 billion.

As depressing as this may be for many gamers, I'm sure once this whole thing blows over, we will all be back to the happy days of online gaming. Hopefully, Sony will learn from what has happened and won't let this happen in the future, hopefully.

RIP PICHU.
If I had the money I would make the swtich, but for now I'm going to stick with buying greatest hit games for 20 bucks that have great campaign. The online doesn't bother me a lot, just the idea of having my information possibly compromised.

Both are great consoles. I think once this sony thing is over no one will care what happened to psn they will just go back to playing ps3

I think once the PSN is back online the people who made the switch will then regret their choice, i sure as hell don't wanna pay £40 a year to play online just for the sake of PSN being down 10 days. Apparently they are re-doing the entire PSN, so hopefully it'll be much better/ feature rich than the old one and offer better gaming connectivity.

It lives, my 360 is back
Just because PSN is down, people aren't going to spend hundreds of pounds/dollars/euro just to play online. I think if someone walked into a store and found out they'd have to pay over £100 for a cheap xbox, then another £40 for online, then another £40/50 just to use wifi, then start rebuying their games, online content (DLC and so forth), that 21% who considered it will probably have an even smaller percentage who'd do it.

Good for them. I have always been a fan of the Playstation since the PSone. Just because the network goes down for a couple weeks, doesn't mean ill switch to xbox.

And anyway its good that they shut down the network to fix all the security issues. Yeah it sucks that they had to have an attack on them to show them all the flaws in their security but atleast they are taking the right steps in order to fix the problems.
