With the PSN being hit recently, many gamers are actually considering the switch. The forbidden betrayal a gamer makes as he switches over to a rival console is bittersweet. Its been ten days since the PSN was down. With the risk of hackers having our credit card information as well as our personal information, making the switch is presented as an escape.

A survey taken by CouponCodes4U asked 2,132 people a bundle of questions regarding the current PSN situation. 21% of the answers revealed that users are more than likely to make the switch between consoles. Shockingly, the loss for Sony is dramatic, and is expected to be along $24 billion.

As depressing as this may be for many gamers, I'm sure once this whole thing blows over, we will all be back to the happy days of online gaming. Hopefully, Sony will learn from what has happened and won't let this happen in the future, hopefully.

I REALLY and I mean REALLY don't like people saying which console is better and that console suck because in a matter of a several years so another BETTER console will be open in the market and you get better stuff.

All consoles sucks because their is no "PERFECT" console; That's the "disillusionment" the Game Console Companies and Game Publishers are giving to the buyers( who will keep buying their products to make them richer and richer)

Per say to what I am speaking, I own a PS3,Xbox 360 and Wii so don't bother telling me which is better and which is bad because they will always compete to be better than the other and they will ALWAYS have flaws.

I'm pretty much sugar coating this particular idea due to the fact, everyone is prejudice to the "other" console because when you got "it" all, every console has more features than the other console but on the other hand, It has less features also.

I already have both, but I will buy more stuff for the Xbox 360, if we don't get cross game chat system......................... Like they NEED this, like as a reward to the people who stayed with Sony.

Im gonna sttay on ps3. this is a nice break for me. gives me time to study for exams :y:

lol everyone thinks people are switching because of psn being down. There are WAY more reasons. Too many people switching because of psn being down is just 25% of the problem. You can think all the advantages xbox has, they get way better games, graphics, and game developers usually favor the xbox because they dont have to transfer the data to ps3 when they make it on xbox. If u see many stores lowered their prices by like 50$+ on a xbox which is actually alot. The price will go up until black friday if you want a new console. I love the ps3 but I still wish I bought a xbox in the first place. Most of the people in this thread love the ps3 because they have a ps3 and not a xbox because the title brought them here. People who only have xbox doesnt give a fk about what hapened to psn because they are playing happily. Psn being down just made me think, "Hmm, I been wanting a xbox for a while now and now is the perfect time to switch before its too fking late". Yeah paying 60$ in a month is not bad considering you get so much more and think of the money you wasted for buying a 60$ game that has no multiplayer and u only play the campaign, just use that money.

seems to me no one has any kind of loyalty regarding console choices. when thigns go bad, people jump ship and talk all kind of shit, when things go right, they have their hands out wanting more, more, more...and its sickening. put ur hands down and show some loyalty. to those 21% who would switch...they are the ultimate pussies...and i will never show respect to people who are like that. sony doesnt have to reward us at all, they are doing it as a sign of good faith and giving back to all the loyal and dedicated members that occupy the servers. for me...i have both systems, a new slim xbox and 2 ps3s...since psn has been down, i have NOT even looked at my dusty xbox. i continue to wait patiently and eagerly, knowing psn will be restored, and my time waiting rewarded. i wanna thank anyone that has this type of integrity like me...we need more of you around.

show me side by side specs proving xbox has superior graphics, games are a matter of opinion. fact is(not to start a console war) ps3 is more powerful, more reliable of a system, has web browsing capabilities(funny how microsoft doesnt have this being a comp company),xbox has a dashboard littered with useless stuff(which is why they charge you for xbl, besides microsofts greed). ps3 has more console exclusives as well. i do like some games on the xbox, however, if ur a dedicated gamer, price for a game is irrelevant. its all a matter of opinion for everyone, but facts are facts..ps3 is just more reliable...oh, and free wifi access....yea..who wants to pay 100$ for a wireless adapter, wtf kind of shit is that, microsoft is raping players, and they are blind to it.

oh you mean the ones who dont go outside and hang with friends or have a normal life? and desperation is a stinky cologne. makes me sick people jump ship to play online. i wish sony would ban these un loyal players and let them suffer on a mediocre and inferior system, and let them shell out for xbl just to play on comparable servers. only noobs make the switch.id rep you if i hadnt maxxed my rep today.

I already had both. I play both regularly and am kinda disappointed PSN is down, as some of my friends are on PS3 who are really fun to play with. They're both good consoles with pro's and con's and I just hope for everyone's sake it comes back soon

Why would you move to xbox just cos psn was down? what if xbox live got hacked would you move to ps3 again? I doubt it, it was only a week, im sure you accomplished more in that week then you have in a month. Gave you time to revise and time to go out and socialise :y:
