With the PSN being hit recently, many gamers are actually considering the switch. The forbidden betrayal a gamer makes as he switches over to a rival console is bittersweet. Its been ten days since the PSN was down. With the risk of hackers having our credit card information as well as our personal information, making the switch is presented as an escape.

A survey taken by CouponCodes4U asked 2,132 people a bundle of questions regarding the current PSN situation. 21% of the answers revealed that users are more than likely to make the switch between consoles. Shockingly, the loss for Sony is dramatic, and is expected to be along $24 billion.

As depressing as this may be for many gamers, I'm sure once this whole thing blows over, we will all be back to the happy days of online gaming. Hopefully, Sony will learn from what has happened and won't let this happen in the future, hopefully.

Looking at both sides of the cable you have to put things into perspective

1.Do you have both already/ have enough money to make the switch
2.How may of your friends have that console
3.What is the cost of live going to make agaisnt the time for psn to return
4.When PSN does return will you just go back to your ps3 leaving your newly bought xbox to waste
5.Can you afford the upkeep of your xbox live.
6. Do you wish to restart all of your levels and campains again
7. Do you have the money to rebuy the games you want and the addon's

Taking this all into consideration is it actually worth making the switch or is it beter just to sit the wait out and be greatful when psn does make a come back

Is the game play really that much better online for Xbox? I mean everyones saying all the games are developed for Xbox and then re-coded to work on PS3...So something has to be different between the two gameplay-wise.

Dexter.
The Vigilante
I'm sticking with PS3. Multi-player isn't everything the PS3 offers after all. Single player games such as MGS4, Heavy Rain ect all have great single player campaigns to play until the network gets fixed.

It will be funny if that 21% all get an xbox, then xbox live goes down immediately after they purchase for 3 weeks Smile

I have already had a Xbox360 for about a year and a half and it works fine and is great to have. I have a Ps3 and Xbox360 and when you end up having both consoles it is a bit of enjoyment and I would recommend it. Happy
