The speculation is all for good reason. Call of Duty Elite has been confirmed; and it may be a game-changer!

Call of Duty Elite will give you free access to any MW3 map pack. Therefore, it won't just be something you can get for $5. Beachhead Studios is rumoring that you will be able to gain exclusive access, to exclusive content. Currently, they are hinting at 100% custom weapon camos and member-only spec ops levels.

They are aiming to be more functional and also more aesthetically pleasing than Halo's stat tracking program. You will be able to join and create groups; that have their own leaderboards. So, you can compare all of the members in your clan, to see who's slacking. You could also join a group for your region, to see how you compare to local gamers, and possibly meet new people.

Basic statistic tracking and group functionality is provided free for all users. Basically, if Bungie.net does it for free then Call of Duty: Elite will also do it for free.

Subscribers, however, will get access to leagues, tournaments, and competitions alongside fully-fledged clan support

Activision has confirmed that there will be competitions with real prizes, like iPads and Microsoft Points; for the winners.

Call of Duty Elite is aimed at making you a better player, while also keeping you up-to-date. The service will have dedicated applications for your mobile devices, so you don't have to be confined solely to a computer to use it.

The price will make it or break it for most of us, I'm excited to know what it will cost!

I don't feel like paying a monthly fee for DLC; other than that it seems pretty cool.

Depending on the cost, I might get it. It might save $ for map packs in the long run, and custom camos would be fun along with the spec ops missions, which I actually enjoyed for the most part in MW2. Although the spec ops better have better connection, it always froze because of the shitty servers.

Sounds cool...but i reckon it will just turn out to be another peice of crap from activision, promising more then what will happen...IMO

It's not really worth getting. The clan support seems pretty interesting...

Agreed, i for one would never buy something like this as its pointless, all the CoD series have come with playercard or ways to see your overall K/D or any other statistic, if they remove that from the game and make you pay for it then not only will that lose customers but ruin the game. Also if your getting the statistics like in previous CoD's then the only real benefit is the map packs and tournements of which you could probably do yourself. I'm gunna guess it'll cost a fair bit as your getting map packs with the deal, so you'd be paying for those.
