This years E3 escalated and heated the formerly unspoken rivalry between MW3 and BF3. On Monday, Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard’s CEO, hopped on CNBC, stating that Battlefield 3 was merely a PC title with a insufficient target group. In retaliation, John Riccitiello, EA's CEO, commented on the matter and made clear that Kotick was "spreading misinformation" about Battlefield 3 and that it will be also be available for the consoles.
To further amplify the battle, both men had their own statements regarding this matter.

Hmm, it seems as if Kotich was a bit more reserved in his response whereas Riccitiello came out swinging. He himself stated that "it's the beginning of war." He went on to mock Kotick's ignorance with his last sentence: "If Bobby thinks that is PC footage, he’s in real trouble." This, to me, just made the whole rivalry that much better! BF3 looked to really push the standards whereas MW3 looks like a polished version of MW2. However, I can't truly judge until I've played both, but from the looks of it, BF3 seems superior.

Cod will always get more sales, mainly because battlefield has only released 3 (not including Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for ps2 and 360) games on the 3rd gen console where call of duty has released what 5 or 6? Also battlefields games are released about every 2 - 3 or so years. Where call of duty has one released each year. Also might I add CoD franchise use rap music in there games witch attracts little kids.
This is just my take ;]. Hopefully battlefield 3 will be up where they belong.

Now this is a real war. I would LOVE to see BF3 blow MW3 out of the water sales wise, but the CoD fanboys will not allow it...they'll probably buy 7 copies of the game, 1 for each day of the week.

YEah, it'd be refrshing to have something other than CoD shoved down our throat this holiday season

when the multiplayer of blackops wasnt shown people said "awful game"after the reveal "OMGz itz epic" after playing it "its shit"
why you people do this when you know COD is the same shit evry year why you buy it? you will still flame it anyway and when you do that you still play it who said you MUST play COD ? go play other games like if you like 3rd persons go play uncharted or ACBH and find some friends there finding friends is realy easy.
I personally prefer BF3 but I will buy and play both like 1 hour COD 4 hours BF

I know, it's a sad truth that cod will blow them out of the water in sales. I hope this year things will change and battlefield will get the glory it deserves. But there will be only one battlefield this year and if they release one like they did with battlefield 3 then we have to wait until 2017 to see battlefield 4 so they will truly never sell out more then call of duty as they have a game each year.

u know it homie. ima play both but im only buying bf3 i know how COD will be. same shit diffrent year. but i do want to check out the campaign and this so called new spec ops. but bf3 hands down looks f u c k ing amazing!
