Ever since the Xbox 360 introduced cross-game chat to its Xbox Live users, enabling them to party up with and chat with players in other games, PlayStation 3 fans have wondered when Sony would implement such a feature on the PSN. As it turns out, the reason we've been waiting so long for this feature, is because the PS3 simply cannot do it. No cross game chat

I've always kind of known that PS3 will never get cross game chat.

Never know what the PS4 holds in store for us when it comes out though :p

Well, that's annoying. It's annoying that we can't talk with somebody while we're gaming either unless we're playing with them on the same game.

hes right,cross game chat wont ever exist unless the game devs reproduce the games to connect to each of the same files,which is why we get different BLES folders on our ps3,the only way song CAN get cross chat is to link up a feature to the ingame XMB(ps button) & to use that to talk to everyone else(not just in games) which sony cannot be assed to do so,you dont need a brain to think of this.

I've heard a little bit about Sony partnering with teamspeak and bringing it to the PSP Vita. I dont know how true it is because i cant find a credible source. But it's an interesting idea. If they teamed up with teamspeak and brought it to ps3, could it be done? Ive also heard that skype might be on the psp vita but since microsoft just recently bought skype for like 8b i highly doubt that.
