Yes, it's coming, and the wait is almost over! It was announced for Xbox back at E3 in June a few months back, but no release information was confirmed. However, Mojang has now revealed that the game will be available on xbox live arcade in spring 2012.
This version of the game will first be playable at MineCon that is a Minecraft fan event that takes place in Vegas, this year it will be on November 18th +19th. This event will also celebrate the release of the full minecraft game on PC, this is currently in beta state, and has sold over 4 million copies worldwide. More information about the release will be available during MineCon in November.

Personal view

I personally hate Minecraft and find it is the most pointless game out there, I will not be buying it.

But if you like Minecraft and own an Xbox 360, get it! I'm sure it will impress users, although I believe the PC version will be more impressive because I believe this is the platform the game was originally made for

This game is appealing to all Minecraft fans and is sure to generate some serious profit :p
The game allows the player to express their own creativity and make some truly incredible things.
I'm not the biggest Minecraft fan but I may have to give this game a try :p

I find it really fun at times to play online with friends while we are all in a Skype call. There's plenty of mods and game modes for online that people thought of such as Survival Island, Super Hostile Series, etc. Not sure if this stuff is possible with the Xbox version but if it is, definitely give it a try

Hopefully there are some online features

I guess it's another incentive to get xbox... Hopefully it'll come to ps3 though (gameshare ftw)
