Yes, it's coming, and the wait is almost over! It was announced for Xbox back at E3 in June a few months back, but no release information was confirmed. However, Mojang has now revealed that the game will be available on xbox live arcade in spring 2012.
This version of the game will first be playable at MineCon that is a Minecraft fan event that takes place in Vegas, this year it will be on November 18th +19th. This event will also celebrate the release of the full minecraft game on PC, this is currently in beta state, and has sold over 4 million copies worldwide. More information about the release will be available during MineCon in November.

Personal view

I personally hate Minecraft and find it is the most pointless game out there, I will not be buying it.

But if you like Minecraft and own an Xbox 360, get it! I'm sure it will impress users, although I believe the PC version will be more impressive because I believe this is the platform the game was originally made for

I'm just waiting for this hype to be over... Minecraft is a terrible game that clearly rips off others.

Unsure whether I will get Minecraft on Xbox or not. I don't even play the PC version much anymore, but if Minecraft on Xbox has multiplayer, I probably will be getting it

UGH.... why do all pc games have to be dumbed down and ported to consoles.. >.<
