I think what DICE mean is... "We have found a solution to fix the PS3 VoIP but whether or not it works is beyond us. Anyway, we're on holiday enjoying the money you poor f*ckers gave us purchasing your broke copy of BF3 for the PS3. Enjoy."
I don't think they'll ever fix this especially when I've heard it's a PS3 hardware problem.
