It looks like the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3 could finally be seeing VoIP updates next month.

Tomas Danko, VO Producer at DICE, recently revealed that Battlefield fans can look forward to another patch coming in February. When asked for more details, specifically regarding PlayStation 3 issues, Danko mentioned, “I can say VoIP updates for PS3 next month, but more than that I’ll keep to myself at the moment.” If you’ve been in the dark recently, the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 has been suffering from poor voice-chat quality (voice over IP), making it almost impossible to play with others. It’s good see a fix for it is on the way.

In other, dare we say more important news, Danko also has some news regarding where the jeep horn fix went. “I found the patch where the jeep horn fix was added to but don’t know when it will be released

Yeah, me and my buddies have gotten very used to using Skype, so if VoIP is still f*cked after they supposedly "fix it", I'm staying on Skype regardless if it gets fixed or not.

I still use the VoIP occasionally though because some of my pals can't use Skype, and it's so horrible to use it.
