(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, this is a thread for anybody interested in fighting games to come and chat. I'm not sure if many people here are into the FGC but I might as well find out. I'll be posting some various interesting things regarding them for all of your reading and you can post what you think of it. It's also a place for you to talk about all of your favourite fighting games and characters as well as tournaments, potential crossover games and more. Smile

So yeah the first think i'll post here is the news about the Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale DLC. As you may have heard, Crash Bandicoot isn't in the starting roster but Sony are trying their hardest to gain the rights to add him into the game. People have speculated that he should definitely be in the game because he is one of the most well-known characters to have appeared on the PlayStation. Other people have speculated that characters like Lara Croft and Solid Snake should appear. Here is the starting roster:

• Big Daddy
• Cole MacGrath
• Colonel Radec
• Dante
• Evil Cole MacGrath
• Fat Princess
• Heihachi
• Jak and Daxter
• Kratos
• Nariko
• Nathan Drake
• PaRappa the Rapper
• Raiden
• Ratchet & Clank
• Sackboy
• Sir Daniel Fortesque
• Sly Cooper
• Spike
• Sweet Tooth
• Toro

You can probably point out a few notables which haven't made it to the roster, but SuperBot have noted that they will definitely be adding DLC after the game is released.

In other news, a trailer for the Wii U edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been released on tekkenchannel. It shows more about the "Kinoko battles" which include Mushroom Battle and Tekken Ball as well as the advanced customization options. Customization has been updated with a paint feature which utilizes the Wii U touchpad, as well as some nintendo character themed costumes!

Totally, I guess it looks pretty good though! It got me in the mood to play SSBB, being playing as Samus, Solid Snake, Pit, Falco and a few others :P You much of a Smash Bros player? I've only played Brawl

PERSONA 4 ARENA WINS SPIKE VGA FIGHTING GAME OF THE YEAR!

P4A shocks everybody by winning Spike VGA's Fighting Game of the Year award!

The RPG spin-off fighting game managed to gain more votes than popular fighting games such as Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Dead or Alive 5 and Street Fighter X Tekken. This result has surprised the FGC and has made many people happy. It's great to see a less-known game such as Persona 4 Arena win such a great award! Congratulations!

In other news: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been nominated for Machinima's best competitive multiplayer award, whilst Skullgirls was nominated for the best animation award. These two games are up against other popular titles such as Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 in the same categories, so it certainly will be interesting to see if they can come out on top! Stay tuned!

Cool, I've not really seen much of games like BlazBlue, KOF & Guilty Gear. Are your surprised at P4A winning Spike VGA? I sure am. I thought for sure Tekken would win!

Definitely, I feel that 2d fighters are much more limited than 3d fighers move list wise. P4A is based off an RPG right? Pretty cool to think that a spin off game such as that won VGA (even though TTT2 is technically a spin-off aswell)

Lol 1st off, your talking about the fighter community and you bring up that sony smash and brawl?

SSB is a party game. The sony smash tried to make it competitive, but even so its just a game for fun so it falls into the same pit.

P4A not known? What are you talking about... its like the best fighter in the world right now... Great mechanics, competitive etc...

People are so busy playing SF and other games that they dont want to touch the technical stuff.

Arcsys makes great fighters, but some people may not be willing to play them or it might be a bit too hard for those who cannot learn, but these games
*Fighters in general* arent something you can simply pick up and play, its like learning how to use a instrument, it takes time.

Source- First hand experience.

I am a gamer and in my spare time when i want to screw around i waste my time killing scrubs and having epic 1 on 1's with people around my level or above.

Any questions?

First of all, Smash Bros. is in fact a fighting game. Yeah, it's a party game but it comes under the Fighting genre. Refer here: You must login or register to view this content. Besides, it's covered by Fighting Game News websites such as EventHubs anyway...

Secondly, in comparison to other fighting games in the mix right now, P4A isn't very known at all. Yeah, it's known by the Fighting Game Community but they're not the general audience any more are they? If I went to go ask 10 people in my local game store to name 5 fighting games I'd be lucky to hear P4A even once, most probably wouldn't be able to name 5 anyway. It's pretty arguable that it's the best game in the FGC right now, once you put it next to TTT2, they pretty much ran the FGC this year seeing as DOA5 was a little disappointing and SFxT was just bleh (still buying it regardless).

Anyways, in other news:
