I'm not sure if many people here are into the FGC but I might as well find out. I'll be posting some various interesting things regarding them for all of your reading and you can post what you think of it. It's also a place for you to talk about all of your favourite fighting games and characters as well as tournaments, potential crossover games and more.

So yeah the first think i'll post here is the news about the Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale DLC. As you may have heard, Crash Bandicoot isn't in the starting roster but Sony are trying their hardest to gain the rights to add him into the game. People have speculated that he should definitely be in the game because he is one of the most well-known characters to have appeared on the PlayStation. Other people have speculated that characters like Lara Croft and Solid Snake should appear. Here is the starting roster:

You can probably point out a few notables which haven't made it to the roster, but SuperBot have noted that they will definitely be adding DLC after the game is released.

In other news, a trailer for the Wii U edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been released on tekkenchannel. It shows more about the "Kinoko battles" which include Mushroom Battle and Tekken Ball as well as the advanced customization options. Customization has been updated with a paint feature which utilizes the Wii U touchpad, as well as some nintendo character themed costumes!

Injustice looks pretty cool I'll have to wait and see how it plays out on release date. I never really played Mortal Kombat that seriously, only when I went to the arcades and movies... so I'm not as excited as other MK players out there. But seeing that Batman is in the game got me quite interested.

Would like to see this thread more active, I'll contribute as much as I can posting some FGC news from Eventhubs and SRK. Would like to see how many NGU members actually play fighting games. Just finished watching Winter Brawl 7 a few hours ago and it was HYYYYPE!! so fun to watch.

I've never been too much of an MK player myself either, the game looks pretty interesting nevertheless, especially with all the environment related moves.

Me too I use EventHubs quite a lot. I don't think there are many fighting game players out there except Haru.

Really hoping we see something from Namco Bandai soon regarding Tekken X Street Fighter, I have such high hopes for that game. Ono-San has been hinting a Street Fighter 5 lately as well on Twitter, based on his replies.

I'll predict TxSF as both a PS3 and PS4 release, whilst SF5 will be PS4.

As much as I would love to see Street Fighter 5. I really want to see Street Fighter Alpha 4 instead. I had so much fun using Rose and Karin, and is the only reason why I play rose in SSF4 AE2012.

I know Harada will do an amazing job with TxSF as he has the final say on the project and Capcom won't interfere with him as per the agreement. Tekken Tag 2 is fighting game gold but it doesn't get the recognition/popularity it deserves. Really look forward to the future of fighting games.


P.S.~ Starting to enjoy SFxT 2013 more and more each day. Glad to see it improved a lot and buffed up the characters.

It'll be interesting to see. Street Fighter X Tekken 2013 had some great changes which made the game more enjoyable, I still struggle to get into the game but people are enjoying it more nevertheless.

I agree, at least I hope so. I reckon they will nail putting SF characters in the Tekken mechanics personally, but it may come at a cost of a smaller roster or less stages. I won't mind though, I'm sure it will blow my mind all the same haha. I think I'm one of the only people who want to see it on PS4, it will make the game far better than it would on the PS3, and more people will buy it because of the limited amount of games at launch for the PS4 (Maybe). At least we won't have all the DLC rubbish this time, hoping we see a few additions to the roster as the game ages. I don't mind paying a cheap price, but Harada said he'd never make us pay for characters and stages so that's good news!

TAG2 really is an underrated fighting game, it won a few awards but I think it's not only the best fighting game of 2012, but one of the best fighting games we've seen in years. It's up there with my favourites from the series, Tekken 3 and Tekken 4. They did basically everything right with that game, and I still wonder why people prefer DOA. Personal preference I suppose.

Let's hope 2013 is as good as 2012 was for the FGC!

Purchased DarkStalkers Resurrection (Vampire Savior) on release date and it is just so fun and refreshing. Such a huge NOSTALGIA BLAST!!! I really hope Capcom makes Darkstalkers 4 with all the previous Darkstalkers characters in it, this game is unique and so fun to play.
