Post: Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI Spec C Type A '05 4WD to RWD issue

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So i realized that the car has a driver controller centre differential that can't be changed or uninstalled from brand new.

When i hack the car and put the silvias drivetrain and the rm subarus front and rear lsd to give me the rm subaru suspension. The cars driver controller centre differential is greyed out but says 20 90 or 20 80. Now the car needs to be RWD. But its for a friend who wants the car to be true RWD 0 100. Is this possible. Or is it not possible due to the driver controller centre differential saying 20 80/20 90. Or if anyone just thinks i've missed anything or made an incompatibility please point me in the right direction pleaaaase. I've been working on this foerver and a day.

standard subaru
Front LSD = 0000E8B0 1F E5 00 00 1F AA

change to RM subaru LSD codes

Rear LSD 0000E8B0 1D E7 00 00 21 D9

Because the numbers above give me the subaru RM suspension.

Then i changed the drivetrain of the standard subaru 0B 7D with the silvias 07 14 drivetrain to try and make it RWD.

But when i drive it in practice mode the 4WD via RA functions is unselectable(this is good) and says 0 100. But in the car settings the driver controller centre differential says 20 80??? I didn't purchase the Torque Split either.

SO have i made the car truly 0 100 rwd?? If not How do i remedy this pplease???

I don't want to use app, i prefer HXD. App way too easy. I like to do it the proper way using HXD. I can do every single thing else with ease really Smile

Unless the app does absolutely everything that you can do in hex now until then i won't stop using HXd because it has taught me much with other peoples help.

I'm just posting the Simplest, Quickest, way to make sure you get what you're trying to do done, Honestly it would take 2 minutes instead of waiting who knows how long for a Master in HXD Editing to reply to your post.

Plus, someone already went over the answer to this question in another thread, idk which one, but i'll leave that up to you to find....

In hex code torque split is 3 bytes before down force
change that to 00 and you have true RWD but don't touch the centre diff again, don't even open the menu to look at the settings it will reset it to normal ( can check this to see if it's 00, as it only uses the front value 19 would be a 25/75 split )
The above is a stock 4WD car with no swaps

LSD is 2 bytes be it FWD RWD or 4WD

chassis - engine - drivetrain - transmission - suspension - LSD

Buy the adjustable LSD for both cars then swap the codes in HEX
you will have rear only adjustable LSD

and swapping the drivetrain over with that should make it pure RWD
I always test it with a doughnut easy to see if front wheels are idle this way, if your still not sure a 4WD doughnut will start to make a perfect circle or spirograph pattern.

The way i understood it was this. So to clear up.

0000E8B0 21 D9 00 00 07 14
---------FR LSD------RE LSD----?

Or

0000E8B0 21 D9---00 00---- 07 14
---------FR/RE LSD-------Suspension----?

Or

0000E8B0 21 D9-----00 00---- 07 14
--------Suspension----------FR/RE LSD----?

Because i was finding out that putting 18 89 00 00 14 7F was giving me ctr2 suspension by inserting this code into another cars hex code. Or is the suspension linked to this LSD.

Ok i'll buy the Torque split part then it will disable the driver controller centre diff.

You said torque split is 3 bytes before downforce which downforce front or rear downforce or extension?

On the image i'm looking at Dowforce aero front starts at Offset Line 0000E910 after the first 4 bytes at columns 02 which are all FF's.

I know suspension is in different place to ride height. So can you point me to it on my hex illustration and point me to the Torque split and also correct my FR/RE LSD and susp area.

I would have given you an answer but I don't remember the answer because it was never important to me. I prefer 4WD so I never convert 4WD to anything else. I would have given you the answer if I'd known it off the top of my head. Why don't you experiment with HxD to find the values of the torque distribution so that you can change it to 0-100 manually? I understand that sometimes it is easier to find the answer on here quickly, but in this case I'd check it myself if I were you. Sorry

You don't have to mess with the initial torque and sensitivity for it to work. Just the offset for the center differential is fine. You can of course adjust the initial torque of the front and rear. As well as the Acceleration Sensitivity. The next two bytes after are the front and rear braking if you want to adjust that as well.

But I can NOT express this enough. DO NOT go to Drivetrain ---> Driver-Controlled Center Differential and open it. You will only reset to the default center differential. Instead go directly to the settings sheet and you will see a 0 ---> 100 car.
