Post: Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STI Spec C Type A '05 4WD to RWD issue
03-29-2013, 09:43 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So i realized that the car has a driver controller centre differential that can't be changed or uninstalled from brand new.

When i hack the car and put the silvias drivetrain and the rm subarus front and rear lsd to give me the rm subaru suspension. The cars driver controller centre differential is greyed out but says 20 90 or 20 80. Now the car needs to be RWD. But its for a friend who wants the car to be true RWD 0 100. Is this possible. Or is it not possible due to the driver controller centre differential saying 20 80/20 90. Or if anyone just thinks i've missed anything or made an incompatibility please point me in the right direction pleaaaase. I've been working on this foerver and a day.

standard subaru
Front LSD = 0000E8B0 1F E5 00 00 1F AA

change to RM subaru LSD codes

Rear LSD 0000E8B0 1D E7 00 00 21 D9

Because the numbers above give me the subaru RM suspension.

Then i changed the drivetrain of the standard subaru 0B 7D with the silvias 07 14 drivetrain to try and make it RWD.

But when i drive it in practice mode the 4WD via RA functions is unselectable(this is good) and says 0 100. But in the car settings the driver controller centre differential says 20 80??? I didn't purchase the Torque Split either.

SO have i made the car truly 0 100 rwd?? If not How do i remedy this pplease???

you said it has an RM chassis which has DF
at the moment its set to 00 00 cause the original car didn't have DF, if you open the DF setting menu in tuning it will add the default DF settings for the RM chassis.

Ah i see

---------- Post added at 02:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:56 AM ----------

Your losing me again i though downforce was on lines E910 - E920 where i highlighted the rear wing in red.

But when you say the first 00 is centre diff and the 2nd and 3rd be front and rear downforce on line E940, i though front and rear DF were on lines E910-E920??

00 39 00 04 is rear wing and i thought front and rear downforce are on these two lines too.

0000E920 00 04 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 0D CB

How can DF be after the 00 on line 0000E940 if they are on lines above E910-E920?
on this line E940 you said is centre diff. but DF can't be here because its on E910-E920?

00 01 01 00 00

1st 00 centre diff setting
2nd 00 front DF
3rd 00 rear DF

it's the DF tuning setting not the parts from GT auto

Oh i see. Doh

---------- Post added at 02:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:14 AM ----------

So the first 00 highlighted in red will set the torque split centre diff to 0. What happens though if I disabled the driver controller one by buying the torque centre diff instead. Does it still get set to 0 even though it isn't being used?? Its greyed out in my settings menu sheet and the torque centre one is being used.

So I think I have the DF Fr/Re correct in my illustration below?

0000E940 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F 3C 1A 0F 3C 00 01 01 00 00 ----------------------------DF------DF-----
--------Centre Diff-------------------FR------RE------
------------0/0------0/1----0/1-----0/0------0/0-----

And the one we changed below is like changing the actual LSD acceleration, torque and brakes in LSD tuning menu? Is this correct = Accel F/RE, Torque FR/RE and Brakes FR/RE. As illustrated below?

0000E950 06 36 78 00 00 00 00 00 00 69 00 69 00 14 38 2F
0000E960 5A 5A 05 05 05 05 05 05 05 05 03 03 00 0A 00 1E

Unsure about this one still?

--Accel---Torque---Brake--
---F/R------F/R-----F/R----
---0/0------0/A-----0/0----??

Don't worry about the DF stuff. It was just given to you on page 2 by sniffle to help guide you to the Driver Controlled Center Differential offset. So disregard anything said about it in this thread.

Bold = Driver Controlled Center Differential 00 = 0 Front Initial Torque split (The game automatically fills in the rear based upon this setting... If you put 64 [which is 100 in hex] in this spot instead of 00. You will wind up with 100 Front Torque and 0 Rear Torque) 2nd Example (If you place 32 [which is 50 in hex] in this spot instead of 00. You will wind up with 50 Front Torque and 50 Rear Torque)

Front/Rear Torque split for regular LSD 00 = 0 front initial torque ---> 0A = 10 rear initial torque

Front/Rear Acceleration Sensitivity split for regular LSD 00 = 0 Acceleration Sensitivity front ----> 1E = 30 Acceleration Sensitivity rear

Front/Rear Brake settings split for regular LSD 14 = 20 Front Brake setting ---> 14 = 20 Rear Brake Setting

Ok so i did what you said.

Only in drivetrain in settings the controlled driver centre differential is ticked and when i go into it it says 20 90 and is greyed out and un editable. Note i entered settings sheet first and there was no 0 100 showing. So i went into drivetrain controlled one like you told me not to because it would reset and it was greyed out and said 20 90.

The torque distribution centre differential is disabled and unticked so i can't go into it. When i go into settings sheets neither of the differentials show up under the power level they are missing or gone.

When i go to practice race the 4wd ra function via controller is disabled and greyed out but it reads 0 100.

Have i successfully made the car 0 100 or is it in actuality still 20 90 on the driver controlled diff which is greyed out if i hadn't have gone into as you say.

On my friends r34 this car only has the torque distribution centre diff it doesn't have a driver controlled centre diff and in drivetrain settings menu it reads read 0 100 greyed out. You can go into it and it doesn't get reset it just stays saying 0 100 greyed out. But it doesn't read 0 100 in settings sheet under power level.

I don't know what to do at this point i'm at my wits end with this damn subaru.

The 00 you point me to on E940 is it driver controlled centre differential one or torque distribution centre differential??

When i set it to 00 in hex savegame and lad it on ps3 and go into my car settings sheet it doesn't say anything like 0 100 under settings sheet?

But in drivetrain the driver controlled one is ticked.

So is the reason why this isn't working is because do i have to enable the last one the torque distribution centre differential like my friends r34 has enabled for the 00 i changed in hex to make it 0 100?

do a doughnut if it's RWD the back will swing around wildy, if its still 4WD you will make a perfect circle and you will see the front wheels pulling the front around.

when you load up GT after the edit, what do you do ?
do you go to practise or speed test mode 1st
or
do you go straight into garage and look at the cars settings
03-31-2013, 11:08 PM #27
I go straight to get oil, then practice mode. And everytime the 4wd is disabled on the controller and says 0 100.

Its then after that when i go into garage and to settings sheet first and there is no 0 100 under power level. Then i go to drivetrain but i don't go into the greyed out driver controlled cente diff, if i do its greyed out and say 20 90.

This is what i don't understand. the 00 you told me to change is for driver controlled centre diff right? So if i hadn't of gone into it in drivetrain menu it should be 0 100, but why doesn't it show 0 100 in the settings sheet.

So i went into it anyway even though i shouldn't have and like you said if it did work it probably got reset to 20 90, but again why doesn't it show 0 100 in settings sheet under power level?

With my friends skyline r34 the car only has a torque distribution centre differential it doesn't have a driver controlled centre diff and with this car i can go into drivetrain and into the torque distribution centre diff without it getting reset and it will be greyed out and say 0 100.

Maybe i'm mixing the suspension codes with drivetrain and fr/re lsd idk! :( ???

So on the pic i downloaded from nextgen on lines 00008B0 first 4 bytes are labelled FR LSD and then 4 other bytes 00 00 then the next 4 bytes he labels as RE LSD? How can this be if the first 4 bytes on the line are suspension. Does this mean then the 4 bytes 21 D9 include both FR and Rear LSD in those 4 bytes? And he has labelled it wrongly and this confuses me. Below is what i have been doing. Just so you get an idea if if i have done something wrong that is causing the torque split issue, maybe an incompatiblity with the suspension, LSD and drivetrain used from 3 different cars.

So i used code 0B 14 for subaru rm chassis
Code 0A 7F for blitz engine
Code 87 87 for subaru rm ride height
0000E8A0 (0B F4) 00 00 0A 7F 00 00 07 14 00 00 1B 46 00 00 = Subaru rm chassis
0000E8A0 0B F4 00 00 (0A 7F) 00 00 07 14 00 00 1B 46 00 00 = Blitz engine
0000E8A0 0B F4 00 00 0A 7F 00 00 (07 14) 00 00 1B 46 00 00 = Silvia ks s13 drivetrain
0000E8A0 0B F4 00 00 0A 7F 00 00 07 14 00 00 (1B 46) 00 00 = Subaru rm gearbox

0000E8B0 (1D E7) 00 00 21 D9 = Subaru rm suspension
0000E8B0 1D E7 00 00 (21 D9) = Subaru rm FR/RE LSD
0000E8B0 1D E7 00 00 (15 B0) = Silvia ks s13 FR/RE LSD

0000E940 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F 3C 1A 0F 3C (00) 01 01 00 0F = is this driver controlled centre diff or torque distribution centre diff??? I changed this XX number to 00.

What else do i do for 0 100 to show up in settings sheet or does it not show up and have i done it all correctly.

0000E960 5A 5A 05 05 05 05 05 05 05 05 03 03 (00 0A) 28 28 = Torque FR/RE
0000E960 5A 5A 05 05 05 05 05 05 05 05 03 03 00 0A (28 28 ) = Accel FR/RE
0000E970 (14 14) 06 15 15 0B 0B 00 00 28 04 00 00 64 00 00 = Brakes FR/RE

So i'm not sure but maybe i made a mistake using 21 D9 subaru rm LSD? So i've changed this to 15 B0 which is the silvia ks' s13. So now i have Silvia LSD and Silvia drivetrain.

I will do this again and not go into the driver controlled centre differential and drive in practice mode and see if the car 360's like a 4wd or whether it doesn't make a complete circle like a RWD car.

So i'm now clear on the torque, accel, brak settings in hex. i just need to be clear where the 4 bytes for driver controlled centre differential and the 4 bytes for torque distribution centre differential are?
