Many rumors about physics change in 1.16 update

Another Bonus to 2 PS3's is I can leave one on the old update and one on the new and compare how a car is on a given track. I have it set up so I just change the input and Im on the other system.

I have the Muira Base tune as my car of choice since its been tuned recently and Ive since used it with success online racing. At 550pp it will upset some C8's and Series-ONE's and pretty much everything else it goes up against.

So tomorrow Ill run some 1.15/1.16 side by side test to see if I notice any changes to the physics. I cant really say much yet because Ive spent the time since 1.16 either at Mid-Field or in a MINI VGT mostly both lol.

At least I'm fast enough to have been to the GTA finals... all you can do is talk (or in this case, type 39 pages of drivel) lol

Well said You must login or register to view this content.. Anyone can pull theories out of their butt, the rubber hits the road on the track and if you can't prove it there, it don't mean nothing. I'm not in your league of course, not a TT guy generally, but I have a top 50 and a few top 100's to my name so I think I know a thing or two about how to make a car go fast in the GT series. Rido and a couple of others guys do replica tuning and that's great for a pleasure cruise but when you want to compete you have to take whatever the game gives you in order to go fast.

This thread looks like 40 pages of some joker sitting in his mother's basement ranting and raving and talking to himself. Quoting posts from other forums in here and talking about them as if someone is listening? No one responds so he just talks to himself? You must login or register to view this content. Not as of yet, got a bunch of stuff that got in the way, but Ill have some time while trying to sort my console ID situation.

I was sucked into the Black Hole of online racing, most notably I had serious fun chasing down friends list times in Seasonals. This one guy from Japan and I have been at each others thoughts in most of them. The MiNi VGT seasonal Im less than a second off from the fastest time, my Ranks gotten pushed up but still triple digits, but me and my bud are neck and neck often inside 0.00X of each other times. It really SUCKS losing the guys on my friends list for racing like that.

What's replica tuning exactly and what the hell pleasure cruise mean ? Sunday driving ? Last time I check all tunes I have tried always impossibly fast compared to what's possible in reality and they drive like slot cars. Where can I find this replica tuning ? I'm fed up with stupid cheat TT tunes and I spend more time drifting with my wheel instead. Those typical kiddie tune turns to shit when going sideways, I had to make my own.

The top TT drivers should not be able to easily produce lap times seconds faster than reality could ever allow. They are all immature gamer trying to exploit physics just like any other maniac game addicts. It's funny when tunes like this guy thread has much more closer to earth lap times. Those TT top drivers playing it wrong, wrong intention, wrong mindset, winning means shit when they went the other way around to win like a bunch of 8th grade kids, zero respect given. Want example. 500PP Midfield TT, those GSXR top 50 drivers are nice kids, so predictable, so much pride having top times with mentality of a sheep.

What's the use of playing GT6 then, just to drive fake cars with stupid unreal tune all for stupid fast out of this earth times :/ Ridiculing GT6 for unrealistic driving but spend ZERO effort to NOT USE LOOP HOLES, the IRONY. I laughed everytime I race online and some folks came saying they use someone famous car/tune combo that make them go faster with little skill. I tell them, you are digging your own hole, you just don't know it yet. I dropped tire level several steps , tire wear very fast, heavy damage, and disable all aids, they usually crashed, came last, quit or swearing like little bitches.

From years of playing games, in every racing game there will always be loop holes, exploits, bug and glitches, only loser use them to win. Will you use it when you play other racing game ? No ?

I've got friends with pc game like pcars and ac, they have tunes with crazy lap times too, and they said every game on pc has secrets to go fast that won't work in real life, but they won't tell me, whatevs. I drove their cars on Pcars and AC when I spent weekends at their pad ( T500RS and T300 wheel ), even with settings for max realism including tires and zero aid, they have unbelievable times and much easier to drive than default tune - I ain't even pushing the cars like mad trying to say on earth, to prove them wrong. I asked them what's different about their tune, and they said, learn how the game physics work and their loop holes.
They have GT6 and often in top 100 TT, but they kept silence about Pcars and AC, PC master race they say. They just being a dick.

Well I figured since GT6HE is not yet updated I would do some 1.15 to 1.16 testing. Generally without any testing I can say there is a strong possibility some changes have been made. This is just from driving and tuning on 1.16 since the update was released. I've spent some time in 1.16 driving a few cars tuned in 1.15 and there is a general smoothness to weight shifting that is new.

Test will be run with both system running the game same time, same car, same track, same tune, pull USB for g27 from one pop in the other n back n forth as need be.

@JohnnyPenso well Johnny you, and others from GTP have shown many many many GTP members follow my thread here, lol so I already know when I call you a chump Bitch it doesn't fall on deaf ears lol. Hell, you're here posting just proves your watching it lol

Yeah anybody can theorize this or that, but very few of us have theorized to then have the games coding back up those theories.....

Oh and do I put it down on the Track? Yeah I do, as you may have already read on NGU & tuning fast cars is what I do lol pluss no JohnnyPenis in front of me in any Seasonal's Ive entered, and I check all Canucks to see where I sit in CAN lol where the fuck are you? That's right, bunch of diarrhea spewing from your face hole as always. Just read up here how every now and then a GTP memb comes here just to talk shit about you, you don't even realize how sooooooo many fucking people hate you on GTP you just kiss mod cock and people just laugh at you.... Your the GTP clown..

Now, even fucking Motor City Hammi is using camber but doesnt have the fucking BALLS to come out saying the truth of the situation, ***gets still act like its broken but blah blah blah Bullshit lol You're so fucking stupid its not even funny. You OFTEN run off saying shit like Oh Camber would show so much more gains in lap times if it were like real life IDIOT SHOW US SOME OF THOSE GAPS fucking moron, lets see some REAL WORLD LAP TIME difference zero camber to with camber Fucking ASSCLOWN Ohhh YOU have NO CLUE how much gap there is or would be because YOU HAVE NEVER DONE a real world zero camber to with camber test HAVE YOU, oh DIDN'T THINK SO....... So what the fuck are you basing your conclusion on?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! EXACTLY, BULLSHIT!!!!! Didn't you know that camber is tuned with a temp gun & visual wear patterns, not a stop watch you fucking retard.....

WOW Just back in from first round of testing and all I can say is WOW

Basically built 2 clone cars, I used stock LDS & Gears with the Racing Hard Suspension & raised power dropping weight at the same time, and threw on some Racing Tires. On both cars on Tab B I have the exact same tuned suspension set up I've tuned for this car already.

The first switch from 1.16 back to 1.15 dropped my jaw, yeah there is a change, hard to say what exactly but still initial testing give me an idea so I have my suspicions right out the gate its camber related.

The Racing Hard Suspension uses default camber & in 1.15 it feels fine, the same car Ive tuned with more camber and its a bonus, but it seems more so in 1.16 than 1.15.

In 1.16 the Racing Hard Suspension is complete garbage, and feels like the camber is off the way the car tracks through corners, but when using the tuned suspension with camber it feels great. In 1.15 the tuned suspension feels great but the default Racing hard set up doesn't feel that horrible, its alright.

So my initial suspicion is potentially the camber is enhanced not increasing the grip of well tuned camber but further reducing the ill effects of poorly tuned camber.

The steering wheel also feels heavier leading me to believe the weightier feel of the FFB has many feeling the effects as weight shifting, transfer, etc pushing to the limits I think it may be true. There is a bit of a higher tendency for a certain car of mine to grip n roll over 1.16 vs 1.15 leading me to believe its possible (need more testing) there is more weight transfer dynamics, maybe playing with wheelie cars pushing weight transfer to extremes can tell us something..

Better weight transfer dynamics seem to be in weight and resulting roll camber/camber gain dynamics

Still tho, this is only initial testing, but I can confirm this much at least, There 100% was a FFB/Physics change 1.16, no doubt, if you think otherwise better get a second PS3 and run the same test, the problem is the difference is small if you already tuned the car well, but test a default set up and the differences become large. I tested the NSX because of its quirkyness default wheel angles and high grip tires.

Fuck Lap times the feeling is undeniable, just much more apparent with a default set up thats not all that great. HOWEVER my laps 1.15 are faster than my 1.16 laps with the Racing Hard suspension by 2 seconds when the tuned suspension is hitting inside tenths of each other, the gap from the racing hard to tuned suspension is ridiculously smaller 1.15 vs the 1.16 gap.

lol its funny because every now and then online I get accused of using a hacked car that is a legit car, Im told I have too much grip in the corners lol and then when I say I just tuned the camber Im told Im lying because camber is broken in GT6 and it reduces grip ROFLMFAO yeah my cars must be magic lol
