Wow! There has been a lot of activity in this thread since I last poked my head in...I don't know where to begin! Haha

First of all, you have no idea how happy I am to see Ridox getting the recognition that I personally think he deserves, even if it is on a website he doesn't frequent. I am a HUGE supporter of Ridox Replica Garage (and the new EAG - Elegance Automotive Guild, I actually contribute to their 'History' section) and, of course, an active participant of the Ridox Fan Club. I have not had the pleasure of racing with OdeFinn yet, but I look forward to it now that he is racing every weekend with us. Sinister, if you have the time, you should join us by joining the GT6 Community (I'll have to look up the exact name or Club # if you're interested). You don't have to be a GTPlanet member to be a part of it. This Saturday we are racing at Monza with Ridox's Lamborghini Diablo SV-R replica build!

It really fuckin' pisses me off how little respect Ridox receives at GTPlanet. It's probably because of the world "replica" which people get way too goddamn crazy about. Umm...Nobody thinks that Ridox's cars are 100% accurate recreations of the cars they represent. However, I would say that they are a hell of a lot closer to the actual cars than a newly Dealership purchased car is. I will never piss on ANY tuner at GTPlanet. Tune cars however the hell you want to. I have many cars with tunes applied from Exeter (Shaun), HaB (Highlandor) and even a couple from DolHaus & Praiano. I don't/can't tune very well. And I'm not an alien level driver, nor do I aspire to be. I bought GT6, on a whim, hoping to experience the thrills and chills of driving different automobiles.

What a lot of tuners do, in MY opinion, is tune cars to be as "perfectly" tuned as they can be, exploiting GT6's flaws if it will benefit the tuners goals, which is usually to make the car as fast as possible for a particular PP limit. 99% of the time, what ends up happening is almost all of their cars with a similar PP level & drivetrain end up feeling exactly the same. There is no soul to the car. The uniqueness is gone. Hey, that's totally fine...Like I said, I have a few cars that have some of those types of tunes applied (usually because I couldn't find anyone else who released a tune for that particular car). I never drive those particular cars just for the fun of it. They just feel too bland. Ridox and I often use the term "cookie-cutter" to describe such tunes.

Now, those tunes DO serve a purpose. Like I said...if you're just trying to win a race, or set as fast as a lap as possible, a lot of those tunes are going to be much better suited for that purpose than driving a Ridox build. Ridox doesn't aim for a particular PP level with his 'replica' builds. Just like the way they come from the Dealership, he specs them out the way that HE feels best represents that particular real life model and calls it a day. As my skills have improved in GT6, however, I no longer am concerned about running exactly at 550PP for a Seasonal Event. If I'm in the mood to drive a Ridox Replica build and it has 533PP, I'm going to use that car. I'll be damned if I'm going to run every Super Lap Seasonal Event with the 2J and Suzuki GSX-R/4.

Basically, the way that I look at it...Ridox isn't "tuning" these cars so much as he is setting them up the way that they should have been given to us from the Dealership. Do a search for Lamborghini Aventadors on GTPlanet. I'm certain that 90% of the tunes you find will tell you to apply Weight Reduction 3 to the car. What does Ridox's "tune" say? You fucking ADD weight to the car because PD was too fucking stupid to give us the car with the proper weight!! So many of these celebrated tuners only release tunes with Weight Reduction 3. I really want someone to find me a Lamborghini Aventador, in real life, that weighs 1200 kilograms and is street legal. You won't. But that's what all the celebrated tuners want us to drive. Now, before someone goes and runs off and says that there are several Aventador tunes without Weight Reduction 3, please know that I'm speaking in generic terms. The fact is, most celebrated tuners are taking off as much weight as possible because it makes the car a hell of a lot easier to drive & faster. Oh yeah, and we haven't even begun to talk about the tires... I'm driving on CM tires, or maybe CS for the newer & faster models, while most tuners are having you put on SH or SS tires.

This isn't me having a superiority complex versus those who like to drive the cookie-cutter tunes with insanely low weight and tires dripping with adhesive. This is me professing my desire to play GT6 with cars that I think properly reflect the real world version of this digital thing I call a car. I know a lot of recent PCars & Assetto Corsa converts love to proclaim how much more realistic those games are compared to GT6. Well, then why do many of those people shit all over Ridox and the people who drive his cars when the reason we're doing so is because we're looking for MORE REALISM!! Once again...Nobody ever said it is 100% accurate. Nobody ever said that Ridox's 'tunes' are without flaws. I do think, though, that people who really dig his cars do get the feeling that his cars ARE more accurate than what comes from the Dealership. So, again...Why is PCars & Assetto Corsa so freakin' cool for being "more sim-like" and Ridox trying to fix these dealership cars to be closer to stock, which is more 'sim' like, shit all over by so many? It makes zero sense.

I didn't mean to ramble on for so long...I just don't get it. Ridox doesn't have an ego. Sure, he'll defend his position when challenged. He should. He puts a shitload of effort into his hobby and I, along with a few handfuls of other members, are extremely grateful for his efforts. Sorry for jumping on a soapbox, Sinister.

Oh, by the way...Nice driving with that Volkswagen!! I am terrible with FWD cars in GT6. I can't stand them so I rarely drive them, but that's no excuse. I'm just not very good with them compared to FR & MR layouts. I'm not very good with navigating this website. Is your Volkswagen tune posted yet somewhere here? I'm still enjoying your BRZ & Countach setups!!

::sigh:: I just found the Volkswagen GTI tune in your Garage. Sorry dude...I totally forgot that you have a Garage on this website. My bad. I just won this car last night from this week's Seasonal Event, so I figured I'd give another one of your tunes a shot. Also, I think I might buy another Miura and slap your tune on it. I saw that you said it's just a base tune, but I'll see how it works for me. I can't see anything wrong with having a 2nd Miura in my garage, right? If one is good, two must be better!!

Thanks again...

ALB123 yeah, I have to say I very much agree with your post. I find the glitch tuning basically churn cars that have a cookie cutter feel. Everything around the same pp on the same tires is tuned to drive as close to each other as possible. As if the character is extracted from the car with tuning. I hear them always saying its for the fastest cars, BUT I don't see that playing out. I see them as no faster than Real World Tuned cars its just a matter of who is driving. However the glitch zero camber tunes in fact fall on their face with tire wear and fuel consumption turned on, the fall is worse the longer the race is and the slower tire wear is set. If they race online with tire wear its all buddies who all tune the same way, if some outsider comes in kicking their ass, they just kick the guy, and say must be in a hybrid as an excuse...

OdeFinn, that looks nice, 2nd time I've seen that in 24hours and me likey. Hopefully the G27 shifter is compatible and I really hope they make a better shifter.

I have some difficulties to understand lsd tuning, because I haven't experience about lsd tuning in real cars. When You are building a car, You just put lsd there and after that it's there. Now in this game tuning is possible and this is a mystery part to me. I understand the principle, but I don't know the lsd relationship to suspension part ( You can affect to the same thing in suspension part and in lsd part ).

Initial ( first value )
If I understand correct, this value affects the difference of speed difference inner and outer wheel.
1) Is this a first thing to do before suspension?
2) How You do it?
Just hard tyres and adjust the temperature ( wheel spin) same? I'm talking about inner and outer tyres when You are in the corner.
3) Do You use this value for fine tuning ( how the car turns in ) when suspension part is ready?
4) What is Your goal when You are tuning this value?
Is the only goal to control wheel spin or is there something else?
5) 4wd in the front. Are You aiming the lowest reasonable value like perhaps FF cars?

Accel ( middle value )
1) Are You aiming the highest value, what You can control ( highest exit speed ) with FR cars?
2) Are You using this to control cars behaviour in the corner or is the suspension most important for this purpose ( oversteer / understeer )?
3) Is there any situation where this value is lower than initial ( I'm not talking about drifting)?

Third value
If I understand correct this value is affecting the cars behaviour in braking but also how the car is turning in.
1) What is Your goal for this value ( lowest reasonable or is this value for just controlling breaking)?
2) Are You using the rear camber and toe in in the rear to control car in breaking and this value also for fine tuning to control cars ability to turn in?

4wd
Front
1) Is the main principle to adjust lsd front like You do it with FF cars?
Rear
1) is the main principle to adjust lad rear like You do it with FR cars
Is there any situation where You are using more than 50% power in the front?
Is there more what is good to know?
