Excellent post Odefinn. I didn't know that difference between accel and deceleration can cause unwanted reactions. Now the main principles of lsd are clear.

This example number 2 was very clearing and it was easy to understand.

I owe You a cup of coffee.

After reading it again there is one word what needs to be changed, "locking" to "slipping", because we're not entirely locking wheel axles, just limiting slip between sides.. Smile

This Miata is good way to learn. This car is so slow that little changes is easy to notice. Those little changes can dramatically increase lap times, because You can keep the car smoothly and fast in the right line. I made learning by doing lesson in Silverstone gp without assistant. I put my beginners example here just to learn what You professionals Sinist3r and Ode would change and why. I think there might be very different way to do the front end. It's 2,29 car in my hands at the moment. Car is following my eyes, so this is one achievement to me.
87/90; 8,72/5,59; 4/2; 5/2; 1/2; 2,0/1,5; -0,25/0,60; breaks 5/6; ballast position 0, tyres sport soft. It's interesting exercise.

Just ended second test run set on Tsukuba, my favorite tuning field, constant 1:04.6xx and fastest on that 8 lap set was 1:04.425, few minor things and it's ready. Totally basic tune. Just wondering how far these times are from sinister times.
@Jounijkk, will do comparison lap time for you on stone soon.

Might as well use this, now it's stable 1:04.1xx-1:04.3xx
2:29.407 stgp, not my track..

Im stoked you guys are checking out the Spec Miata. Since that post Ive been running my spec Miata online a bit having fun with her. Ill take her to Tsckuba for some laps and back to Silerstone GP. I've done laps there with her but it was a while back not 100% certain on the times but around 2:30 to 2:28 sounds about right.

Right on, key with this car at this spec is tuning to keep up momentum around the track. Smooth is fast, over correcting cost time, its all about keeping up the smooth flow around the track.

It would be nice to se Your approach to the setup, like it would be nice to see Sinist3rs setup. Lap times are not so important, but setups are. It would be fun to compare setups and try to figure out why You choose different approach. It would be also great fun to feel the differences of the setups on track.

@Jounijkk, posting "soon", after few other tests are done. But will publish tune later anyhow. It's following that KISS. Smile

@Odefinn. Your time is very good in Tsukuba.

I tried Tsukuba, but my beginners setup wasn't good at all - time 1.05,1. Then I changed setup little bit: softer front spring, less rear toe, little bit higher ride high, some changes in arb and achieved time 1.04,7. I think I can go little bit faster, but to achieve this, I will need that I can keep the car better in my control during the last corner. Now the car has tendency to escape from the best line ( goes too wide ) and I must lift the throttle and loose time. I'm pretty sure this problem can improve with better setup.

This exercise is interesting, because You and Sinist3r can solve those problems. To compare Yours setup to own best setup and feel the differences, I ( and everyone else ) can find a direction where to go to achieve desired effect.

I saw concrete lack of my knowledge of making good setup, when I tried Tsukuba. I hope You and Sinist3r would post Your solution when You are ready. This setup world is extremely interesting.
