I dont think GT6 was ever advertised as having a specific number of aftermarket wheels, the list is still short at 85, & that does indeed include multiple rims with different colors. Some Rims come with multiple color options IRL, some dont & seems PoDi even used 3 color options on the PoDi rims (PoDi Rims should be 86'ed lol) I personally like the options because for example the Skunk2 cars go with Matte Black paint and the bronze rims, Ive not got the time or patience to try and color match the rims real life originall bronze color, THANKFUL I dont have to because the Bronze Color option the rim has in real life is also available in the game so I can have the rims exactly the way I want them, Bronze just like in real life, NOT painted afterwards.

Then we have rims with a polished lip and black spokes, these are my style and a style Ive used on my real cars. Again THANKFULLY they have the polished lip and black spokes, because painting rims paints both the spokes and the lip the same color when I like the contrast..

On the other hand we have some weird color rims IMO bright blue n red n stuff that I diont like and wouldn't mind them gone, but maybe some peeps like them, so no biggie for me, its got rims I like cant like them all.

Pretty good article.

There are also more articles about driving and some background info how to setup racing cars - handling tuning table is good and useful ( You must login or register to view this content. ).

It's not a gt6 place, just real world.

Great links Bro. I like you can click the section you want to read at the top, and its a great read

@sinister, holy smoke, now I know reason why you or most aren't able to feel several things on GT6.
I was on smoke on balcony and wondered why why and why, then got one big flash.. I'm using 720p resolution, you're on 1080 I assume.. Ps3 has no power to give full feedback on FFB when on 1080, but when on 720 feedback is flawless.

Go and change your resolution, test and I'll promise at you start screaming.. I tested on 1080 and feedback was totally shit compared to 720

I have ingame option for image set normal.

Tested "sharpen" and it blur FFB quality, "flicker reduction" jitters screen and disturbs FFB also.

So 720p and menu-options-display-brightness_and_image_quality-image_quality has to be set on normal

I have run on 720p since GT5 (can tell cuz all my videos in 720p) I haven't run GT6 on 1080p, for me it gets lag more when on 1080p and 720p always more smooth. I expected the same from GT6 but my system set to max res 720p (take check out 1080p) because its not just GT6 that runs better in 720p but most high demand games with lotta crap on the screen. I also have crappy eyes n like things a lil bigger on the screen.

You happened to have quality switched to normal or something else? Others blur FFB.

Change that "sharpen" to "normal" and test.
Sharpen might sharpen picture, but it softens/blur FFB, and it makes game go slower than "normal"setting.

Tested your golf, from your garage just to get some car what you're familiar.
Steering characteristics from options has to be "simulation", "amateur" helps on steering really much, practically makes impossible to understeer car, "professional" is helping lot too, not as much as amateur, but lot.
Only working option is "simulation", others are killing possibility of turning too much what will/should make front tires either slip(understeer) or grab and make rear oversteer.

And I'm not joking about this, your golf is freaking easy to use as test car, you're able to floor throttle out from corners when using amateur or professional, but no way when on simulation, on simulation it understeers so much on corner exit at you have to feather throttle.

Things what HAS TO BE SET before testing anything from GT6 physics are following, MANDATORY.

And yes I'm using G27, and I can read at game THINKS at some of those settings are not for G27 or steering wheel at all, but that's total bullshit from PD.

Only thing what can be changed from there is "power assisted steering", but when it's on it shows flaws better, without it is easier to drive, but when hunting changes on steering it should be on.

I have not tested in a while but IIRC the option for "Simulation" is only relevant to the wheels that are highlighted. G27 is full time "Simulation" mode. It's been tested albeit maybe not in a while, but that's an known oldie. Power steering has had a few bugs in it, last I heard it was not doing anything, I'll have to check if they fixed that ninja style.

I think your digging too deep looking for Bigfoot, or Bugs Bunnies "Secrete Stuff". You have a conclusion. "Rim choice impacts performance" now your trying to find facts to connect to your conclusion.

Despite any steering wheel or wheel settings if one rim performs different to another it should be felt no matter the controller. There should still be a difference, all these settings just don't really matter, a difference is a difference. I feel adjustments no matter what controller or wheel I use because the adjustment creates a difference to be felt.

I've run those nascar style rims on a few cars and they feel no different to any other rim in any size on my 8-6
