Hey guys,
My CFW 4.46ita ps3 has quick console manager, and i regularly check the temperature.
When i use Blackbox etc, yes it does get hot physically but only says roughly 72°C when transferring mods...
When i play for e.g GTA5 idling not moving or anything (ps3 physically is not hot when i touch it) it says it 80°C??? is there a possibility that the heat sensor is incorrect/inaccurate???

Also just to add in, i have a small fan behind ps3 to keep air circulating but still reaches high temps...

Cheers,
Jimmys

I am error
Just download fan control utility. That will keep your ps3 temperature on 45 to 50.

I defeated!
Ya know my ps3 goes up to 85° then the fan is starting and then it goes down to 63°.
Pretty weird but I changed the thermal pasta.

I’m too L33T
I used to have this, but my problem was i didnt put all my screws back when replacing thermal paste.
Its really important to tighten the 4 screws that hold 2 metal plates on the motherboard (these 4 screws push the chips and fan against eachother) once i tightend these, my temps dropped to 39rsx idle and 47cpu idle, to get these low temperatures i usually put my fan on 0x75/80 with control fan utility

The reason your outside isnt hot, the fan an motherboard dont have optimal connection
That means the produced heat cannot flow and will stay thus increasing the heat.
Thats why you have to reapply paste and tighten every screw in the motherboard that holds the fan on it.
If you keep having trouble, just hit me up with pm.

My overal temperatures on GTA V are CELL 60 RSX 51 idle on xmb CELL 47 RSX 39.
Both used to be 75+
