(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So it's been happening for a long time now and now I can hopefully get support I will post it here!

My PS3 freezes like every 40 seconds or when it doesn't it will freeze as soon as I play online
It's an OFW

After it freezes for about 18-30 seconds it turns off and no lights, I've tried to rebuild the system files and fan test it but it is still happening, Any suggestions on a fix?

I've had a look at it but my partners brother is going to do it as I'm useless with internals lmfao

I have a spare broken PS3 anyway so maybe I can use the power supply from that?

This may be the case of a dying CPU (Central Processing Unit), by any chance did your console ever take a fall? Or possibly overheat?

I believe it may be a CPU problem, which can be replaced or reflowed with a heat station...

Its not the power supply. If there is no lights at all, ever, and can't turn it on or even get a standby light, then your power supply is shot.

Your ps3 is probably overheating. Change thermal paste while it can still run and hope that the problem stops. If not, you have a software issue.

It freezes and all the lights go out, I can turn it back on and a red light comes on then I have to press it again to turn the PS3 back on, how ever sometimes after I turn the PS3 on I also get no signal but a fan test I found to fix that and happens more than 2-3 times a day

Do you think I'll be able to put my old console internals in there?

Some internals yeah, not all... the one's you can't are the most important. Since gaming consoles, don't have a lot of space most things are soldered down. The PS3's CPU can't be removed, unless it's un-soldered. In all honesty, it'll be cheaper to buy a used PS3 console. It's just not worth it... The cost and such would be too high.

That's what I been thinking but there is something wrong with my other PS3 also think it YLOD all the time but hopefully I can take the power supply and put it in my partners and hopefully that will fix her issue

I think there the same model also which is handy so I can use mine for spares and repairs if needed
