Nah you need something greater then an adult pushing down on the clip. You need heavy books or weights to push down on the chip. Also, lets say you do get a good dump with your method on pushing down. TRUST me when you reflash you will get tired. You will have to push down for at least 8-10 minutes. Find something heavy amigo.

I'm pretty sure you don't you need to find that sweet spot another thing you might wanna try is get a a piece of cardboard, the size of the NOR CHIP or fold it to somewhat match it, and place it right under the NOR chip.

This will help push up the clip while the heave stuff on top will push down.

Please correct me but what does the concept of weight have to do with a connection. There is a big diff between two quarters, dumbbells and calculus books that i've see on this thread. A connection is a connection. Once the blue lights are dancing in the code box I should have a favorable connection. Intermittent or incorrect data upload would result in the error code. That I would think has to do with a cable that is transmitting data incorrectly. Improper pin alignment also would not allow the blue lights.

Your blue lights are being powered on because the flasher is plugged into the hdd port... you do not have a good connection , I had to shave off some plastic from my clip before my flasher would read a backup, tried 20 times b4 that then I found a thread by playerk420 i think it was on ps3hax.net about how he modified his clip.. worked perfectly 1st try
