Post: E3 Flasher SERIOUS Problem. Can not find fix.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hello. I have seen many other people post about this problem but can not find a working solution.

i have installed my brand new e3 flasher PROPERLY to my CECH-2001A. I even searched how to properly install using my specific model number and found very useful tutorials..

ANYWAYS. i have updated my E3 Flasher using the Samsung update.bin and was successful with that.

Then for step two. i put all switches down and the third up, to make my first back up.

all lights turn off when i hit start, then after about 15 seconds lights number 1, 5, & 6 start to blink rapidly.

I have searched to find out that this means the clip is not secured 100% but i have checked NUMEROUS times, the clip is on my motherboard perfectly and i used the coin trick to hold it down. Also. the clip on the Flasher itself is very secure, i used tape to hold it down with extra support.

I still get this same issue every single time i attempt something new.

Can anyone help with a solution?

Or can someone possibly give me THEIR back up from the same model number on update version 4.50? (if that is even possible to do I am willing to test!!)

Please someone ANYONE help with my issue, any advice is GREATLY appreciated..

THANK YOU

how much pressure is needed about? i see on youtube some pressing down gently and it pops right on but also i just read elsewhere that someone put the leg of a chair on the clip and sat down to finally make it pop on... i would rather not attempt that myself lol. suggestions?

thank you so much.

You need to make sure the clip is on properly and is not loose before u even try add pressure on it. Push the clip on the nor till its sticks on like shake it in place do something.. Mine is like that it keeps coming off but I keep moving/shaking in on the nop chip eventually it sticks on. Once i know its on i gently try take it off if it sticks it means it on then i just a pressure with a big small circle coin and duck tape. Make video

Look, I had the same problem and I had to put a shit ton of pressure in the clip ( I did it with a a lot of tape.... I mean a lot of tape) and if you can put some books that will work, also don't look at youtube videos, the mayority of the time are fake.

I guess it is time to step in on this one =0/

Listen to what my fellow boys are telling you.

Please have you ps3 open like this in my video:

Now that you have it open you are now allowed to access the clip and apply pressure when needed. With these models you're gonna have to either
1. apply pressure on the clip
2. sand/file the clip down on the sides since the resistors near the chip are not letting your clip make contact with the chip

Here are more pictures bro I used an advil bottle, that I've emptied and filled it with coins, to be on top of the clip and 5 big ass books for weight

I had that same problem as well. I tried the Advil bottle trick that libra said but for me that didn't do the trick. What I did was I took 2 pennies and a nickel and stacked them on top of the clip. Then I taped them down with some duck tape. Then I put the metal casing that goes around the motherboard back on and put the power brick back on and hooked it up. And it worked. It scared the crap out of me when it worked too lol I wasn't expecting it to work

Oh and you will need to file off the top left side of the clip. I used a fingernail file. If you need any help pm me

i think I am just terribly unlucky

My system is put together just like in the video. i sanded down the edge of the clip enough to avoid the transistor. my cable, clip, pins are not damaged. the clip will not even click onto the NOR chip at all.. it fits one side then when i push down the other it just pops over to the other side. i have tried putting great pressure on the clip and no luck :( ahhh been working on this for far too long now for me to still be installing it!

that only going in one corner problem you have, i had that as well. You have the place the chip and put pressure in the center so all sides go down. I used 3 pennies and put the metal case on to hold it down it mine worked fine.

you dnt always need pressure, as i have had no issue and have done over 40 ps3 with out needing weight and without replacing the ribbon once, in past i have replaced amny ribbons from the work i have done, but i have cut custom internal casings for the slim models of the work i have done. issue could be your hdd running. as the e3 can not start if the hdd is still reading as its processing with the memory too. another thing is the ribbon may be damaged from a bend, get a new ribbon. try to clean the nor and carefully scratch the metal pieces to the nor to make clean contact. check your sd card make sure its getting a error response in the text, format it cleanly. make sure everything is pressed firmly in place both sides of the e3 and front and switches. wait at least 15- 20 seconds when you start with out a hdd and the message appears saying the incorrect hdd or no hdd was found or just watch the orange flashing light near the usb port and count 15 seconds after it stops flashing and then hit start carefully.

Also to all i am in Indianapolis, Indiana and do this service for $40 and install most up to date cfw and multiman, and i am able to remarry blurays all models that are compatible with the e3 nor flasher and replace laser's for all models. all takes less than a day to do and on nice days you can stay and watch!
