Post: [Help] Problem with CFW
10-17-2014, 02:42 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I recently purchased a Jailbroken PS3 from a friend and the following problems have arose:

The console doesn't allow the CFW to be updated. Error 8002F957

"The data is currupted."

Install Package Files doesn't allow files to be installed. Error 80010017

"An error occurred during the start operation."

MultiMan won't open. Error 80010017

He doesn't remember what CFW he installed but in System Information it says 4.50. The files were installed in January of 2013 if that's any consolation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want my money to go to waste.

Rebug and Rogero have the coldboot. Habib doesn't use coldboot. It would look like a normal ps3 start up.

I'm sorry to tell you, but It seems like you don't have a CFW ps3.
Reason why you have Install package files, Multiman, etc is cause someone data transferred to that ps3 from an actual CFW.
And the cfw gave all those things on your OFW ps3, but they don't work (Hence the error codes.)
