(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OKAY... heres what happened, downgrading my ps3 fat and i made 2 good backups i patched on of the backups and flashed it on, turned off the ps3 took out the e3 and put the hdd in as its a fat it was tight for space, so anyway put in the hdd and turned back on the ps3, it was acting like a YLOD and wouldnt turn on, iv looked online at doing the soldering nor tristate to the part on the e3 ribbon cable now before it was working the system would stay on but then when i tried to put the backup on i would get 3 flashing lights, but now i have tried my brand new e3 clip cause mine was a little warn out didnt connect to the nor very will was loose, now it just shuts down with ylod symptom but what i did today is, the e3 wasn't powering up so i got my fingers in and unclipped it and the ps3 turned on but yet still i am bricked please can some one help me :(

Yes,you can apply the ribbon cable hundreds of times via ps3 mainboards,as long as the ribbon cable is handled and applied with care and not creased or damaged, being your a beginner with hardware flashing you may have creased or slightly tarred the ribbon cable!
Have you tried the unbrick method of soldering to the sbe point of the ribbon cable as yet?

ERM well I have had to bend it to get it into shape so it would fit but even with my new cable its doing the same and yes but that other methods just gives me the ylod syndrome

Do I have to cut the wire once its finished re flashing the original file on? Or can I check to see if its done it properly first? Cheers

I understand your frustration man, believe me,but never give up,place it aside and come back to it the following day so you start fresh!
Playstation 3 consoles are a pain in the ar.. When the E3 flasher is involved, which is why I prefer Xbox 360's ( JTAG'n/RGH ) even pro skeet,it's all about soldering and you work from start to finish direct on the mainboard, but don't give up!
I'm certain the other fella helping you out in your thread stated earlier if the E3 board was touching the metal,I think this is what he meant to say,you know where your internal hard drive plugs into the ps3?? Well you should have the E3 board placed inside there because the hdd is now placed in the docking station,The E3 board that is inserted in there is not touching metal casing of the ps3 is it??
Also,I recall having that same error code with one my previous E3 kits,it was odd, because when I would lift one side of the E3 TF board higher than the other the error disappeared and I was able to unbrick the ps3,but without lifting one side of the TF board that same error code would persist!
