Post: EBOOT fix for a game? Help?
04-13-2015, 01:55 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My issue:
Trying to play Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition (EUR) on internal drive but I keep getting a blank screen after I load the game and then press START on the start menu.

How you apparently solve it:
You have to apparently change the eboot? I'm not sure I don't really know if this is how you do it.

Do I actually just need to get an eboot fix and replace it? Or is there something else? Also, does anyone have an eboot fix for Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition (EUR) because I've searched for 2 hours and all of the links are dead :(

Thanks.

i beleive the "modded" aspect of the eboot they are referring to is simply it being patched to work on different firmwares. i dont think they are meaning its modded for cheats.

difference firmware versions used different keys to encrypt the eboot.bin files you need to match the encryption to the key your firmware uses and thats what scetool does.

singleplayer.cif - no.

eclipse.self - probably needs patching too.. upload that file.

Thanks a lot!

Here's the eclipse file: You must login or register to view this content.

Also, I found on another website people saying you need to make a 'symbolic link to XMB' or something, here's the link: You must login or register to view this content.

Could you possibly check it out?

I really appreciate the help bro.

I have so many param.sfo files in my DLC file called 'PKGDIR' and its in 'USRDIR'

In the PKGDIR there's like 10 packages in folders, each with their own INSTALL.pkg and PARAM.SFO and ICON0.PNG
There's also a PARAM.SFO file in the PKGDIR folder, outside of the 10 other folders.

Do I have to patch all of these too? These are apparently the DLC content.

Here's what the guy said:
Literally what you do is:

1. Install Multiman (if you haven't already got it) and start the file manager function (Select+Start Button Combo)
2. Find your ripped copy of DA:O Ultimate and highlight the PS3_GAME folder. Press R3 and it will create a shadow copy (aka links) to dev_hdd0/G/E01076 and dev_hdd0/game/BLES01076.
3. Exit Multiman
4. *Optional* Delete any GAME DATA for Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition.
5. Install the PKG for your PS3 CFW (if your on 3.41/Waninkoko use unsigned .pkg. if on 3.55 use the 3.55 pkg)
6. No disc is needed in drive, just click on the new PSN Game Homebrew you just installed. It should run.
7. To install the DLC, either move all the PKG packages in the PKGDIR in your ripped backup to dev_hdd0/packages and install with rebug package installer v1.1 or copy them onto a USB drive and install the normal way. (Note: In PKGDIR you will find the pkgs have been seperated into folders you will need to copy all the pkg's to the root of your USB drive or dev_hdd0/packages to install them. As each of the PKGs are all called INSTALL.pkg you will need to rename them. Also the file extension has to be .pkg (lower case) and not .PKG (upper case).)
8. Once you have installed your chosen DLC packages (or all of them) start the game again and check the downloaded content from the start menu. You should see them all there now.

param.sfo dont need patching they just need modifying so the required frimware version is lower in the param.sfo than your ps3 firmware.. which it is already.
