has stated on his Twitter that the guys behind PS Jailbreak used GeoHots exploit and strongly advices us to not update to PS3 Firmware 3.42, as this will probably block the PS Jailbreak Dongle, here are Mathieulh’s tweets.The psjailbreak guys definitely used Geohot’s exploit, without him it wouldn’t have been possible in the first place.
This is a very clever hack which allows code to run a high privileges on the system. Updating would be a real shame.
You should know by the way that this CAN (and most likely will) be updated/fixed by Sony. Avoid updating to 3.42+ at ALL COSTS.

Well this means that if it does get blocked, and hunter and TheUnknown stop hacking, then we know that they used geohot's jailbreak method

That my friend is where you are wrong, they wont give up. Sony is a multi, multi billion dollar company, as is apple, but apple didnt have a way to patch the jailbreak, apple is so stupid, that on 1.1, you could go on a website on your ipod and jailbreak from the click of a button... But Sony, when else has the Playstation 3 been hacked? Never. Do you see all the modded lobbys on xbox? Why are they not on PS3? Because ps3 is very well protected, hence Sony will find a way to patch this hack, one way or another...

Nice find, lol, I checked twitter and found this, but i figured people wouldn't update anyway, I don't think they can patch this, but I think they can detect it.

just because of the fact that the ps jailbreak might get patched doesn't mean that Unknown and hunter will be unable to host lobbies. They didn't use the PS jailbreak. also Geohots exploit is in the system
