They wouldn't have been so concerned if it wasn't for the piracy. I bet the jailbreak would have never been patched if it was strictly modded patches.

kinda sucks that updated. if people can make CFW then hopefully we'll have another exploit. I wish Dark_Alex was back on the scene

Dark_Alex only made psp custom firmware. Isn't it more difficult to make ps3 custom firmware

Well here's an idea on the downgrading from 3.50 OFW. I'm fairly new to programming so this might be ridiculous but here it goes. There must be some form of identifier in the PS3UPDAT.PUP files that tells the system what firmware it is, correct? What if we could hex edit that and change it so that say a 3.40 or 3.41 FW file looks like a 3.50 one? Then just run the simple update.

How to get access to service mode

1. Make sure the PS3 is turned off,
2. Press and hold the power button on the PS3 it will power on then power off.
3. When it's off press and hold the power button again until you hear two consecutive beeps.
4. It will ask for the controller to be connected via the USB cable,
5. Turn on the controller and you will have access to the menu.

wouldn't it be awesome if some absolutely god-sent hacker could create a gaming interface in which we (PS3 players) could join xbox live matches without being detected? :black:
