Although, i am not sure with Claud’s statement that the PS3 firmware was installed in the internal hard drive instead of the system’s memory of PS3 Slim. If you have anything to say about this, please drop a comment. I really would like to know your thoughts since i have no experience swapping hard drives in my PS3 slim console myself. 2. Delete the partition on it or format it
3. Put back the hd inside the ps3

isn't the FW stored on the NAND! so im not sure if it will work
