Post: Lag Switch Not Freezing
03-01-2009, 09:13 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My lag switch connection won't work. I know it's nothing wrong with switch itself because my friend used it on the same settings, on his console and my router. Anyways, when I flip it, it will lag everyone and make them move choppy but not completely freeze them. I'm not sure if this helps but my console's manufacturing date is September 2007 and his is March 2008. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

(my router is one of those '2Wire' modem/routers, if that will help)

Are you kids stupid! (Not HeyItsThatOneGuy)
Your saying that not freezing is better! WTF. Yeah when there lagging the **** out and your trying to get a HS its much easier than when there siting there frozen. Haha. W/e

Ok Garrett I have researched some shit and this it what I found out.

With the older PS3 models (your ps3) the ethernet port on the rear of the console is diff.
In order to get full lag you must cut the SOLID GREEN wire.
Take the switch off the cable and reatach the ORANGE wire with elctrical tape.
Then cut the GREEN wire and apply it to the switch then test it out. If you have any problems call me.
Peace nigz.

Burton are you stupid, I was stating for my lagging if I shoot anyone while lagging nothing will happen to them even when I unlag. Also not freezing helps when trying to do glitches you would like to see where your partner is and everything. also HAS THE INVISIBLE CQC GLITCH BEEN PATCHED??

i don't think you have any idea what you are talking about sir. first of all, itsonfire was referring to glitching, NOT casual lag switching.

second, foolness was talking about MGO which = easy headshots; also, when you flip back in that game they dont take any damage. Popping out and surprising them is just as effective and definately more satisfying.

third, the ethernet port is always the same in all ps3 models... don't know where you got the "older models" thing.

fourth, depending on your ethernet wiring configuration, orange may work better, or green may work better. It's not the same for everybody.

To foolness: what's your MGO name, ill try it with you later.

Well if he was talking about glitching he should have read the topic! This topic is about lag switch freezing not glitching! Also yes, the older model ps3 require to cut the green wire not the orange. So you and jesus boy can stfu.

Burton so this is about freezing and killing so as I said I was correct, It would be pointless to freeze lag in quite a few games because lots of games do not take damage like he said. Second you fool the color of the wire to cut depends on the cord not the ps3 dumb ****. My one ethernet cable required green my new one requires orange. As you can see same ps3 different cord. You got pwned man so I would just give up. elmo i'll pm it to you.

the older model requires you to cut the green? really? well how come I have a 60gb (have had one since december '06) and the orange works better for me?

its because its not the ps3, its the ethernet cable. the ethernet input doesn't change.

Okay. Whatever you say. Thats why his lagswitch works fine on my console and not on his. Same settings, Same router, DIFF. PS3.

you really have no idea what you're talking about, so don't act like you do. you have little to no experience with lag switching, yet you portray yourself as having infinite knowledge. lag is completely different for everyone. It has to do with service provider, where you live, etc. Two people can have the EXACT same hardware, yet one person may get great lag, while the other may just get a second maximum before disconnection. The ps3 is not the cause. and, like i said, THE ETHERNET CABLES ARE DIFFERENT. THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO WIRE ETHERNET CABLES, one where green is in pin #2, and one where the orange is in pin #2.

next time you curse at me you're getting an infraction. in case you haven't figured it out by now, i do have the power to ban you from this site. besides, the moment someone starts cursing off at someone it is the moment of their admitted defeat. cursing at me doesn't back up your argument.
