Post: Lag Switch Not Freezing
03-01-2009, 09:13 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My lag switch connection won't work. I know it's nothing wrong with switch itself because my friend used it on the same settings, on his console and my router. Anyways, when I flip it, it will lag everyone and make them move choppy but not completely freeze them. I'm not sure if this helps but my console's manufacturing date is September 2007 and his is March 2008. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

(my router is one of those '2Wire' modem/routers, if that will help)

For settings go to this You must login or register to view this content.

Also to get your maximum lag time buy like 2 ethernet couplers and 2 25 ft cables and place those cables after your lag switch this will give you alot better lag time
I only use 25 ft after my lag switch and I get about 1 minute psn and about 10-15 seconds mgo but if I leave my flip switch too long on mgo I get booted no matter what

To all of you looking for help on "freezing" in MGO, here's the best I can do.
Whoever all has been saying that it depends on your ethernet cord, where you live, service provider, etc. Is 100% correct, freezing is very complicated for some people, and almost too simple for others. I got my freeze in this setup;

Modem > Freeze LS (Green Wire) > Router > Normal Ethernet Cord > PS3
If you switch the LS with the Ethernet cord in the above setup, depending on what your service provider, where you live, connectoin, wire, blah blah blah then you will most likely d/c.

Now the settings that I used with the setup stated above is this;
Custom > Wired > Manual > 10BASE-T Full-Duplex (to be honest, i most cases it doesn't matter if it's half or full as long as it's 10T) > Automatic IP Address > Do not Set > Auto > MTU set this at 1500 > Proxy Server ( Unless you completely depend on one or it helps w/ conenctoin whatever the case is, press disable > UPnP Enable

Whether this works for you or not is not my problem, this worked for me and always has, pairing it with Mao makes my lag all the better, if it doesn't work for you then please don't blame me or anyone else, freezing in MGO can be very complex and isn't always as simple as
Green or Orange or "Model of PS3"...
If you have any questions or concerns, or you just wanna play MGO PM me
Hope this helps.
