Post: PS3 Firmware v3.50 hacked and jailbroken, no need for downgrading

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Now this isn't a Christmas gift that Sony wanted! A team known as 'X3 max' have released a video which shows how an upcoming firmware update will allow people to jailbreak PS3's running firmware v3.50. Interestingly of all, there will reportedly be no downgraading required. Interesting stuff, and it is expected that some kind of 'announcement' will be made about the release of the update and GT 5 compatibility soon.

Well. If and when the release of 3.50 comes out it will give others a chance to have a jail broken ps3 system. Assuming the new consoles you purchase now already have a higher firmware then 3.41 on it. I highly doubt they are going to be shipped with anything higher then 3.50. Giving people a chance to buy a ps3 and just use the 3.50 jail break instead. Sony needs to give up. As i don't think they realize the damage has already been done.
