Post: PS3 Firmware v3.50 hacked and jailbroken, no need for downgrading
12-05-2010, 04:23 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Now this isn't a Christmas gift that Sony wanted! A team known as 'X3 max' have released a video which shows how an upcoming firmware update will allow people to jailbreak PS3's running firmware v3.50. Interestingly of all, there will reportedly be no downgraading required. Interesting stuff, and it is expected that some kind of 'announcement' will be made about the release of the update and GT 5 compatibility soon.

The firmware hack will probably just have an update and then it will be the same as downgrading if this is real

possible Smile to be honest sony can never stop it just prevent it . but it needs to go to dev mode from any firmware back to current to edit and test games online

Why wouldn't you downgrade?
You can go from 3.50 to developer 2.15, then upgrade from dev 2.15 to dev 3.41. Then play online and have a test ps3 from a retail.

sony didnt think this through properly , now developers will either have to have a jailbreak or have loads of data transfer shizzle to deal with rofl

no you actually can not. the thing about 2.15 debug is that it acts weird, and you can only install it, then once you try and update, then it bricks your console. where did you hear that you could update to 3.41?
