(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Requirements

* An iPhone (First Generation or 3G only) or an iPod Touch (First Generation Only)
* Firmware of iOS 3.1.2/3.1.3/4.0.0/4.0.1/4.0.2/4.1 (confirmed) jailbroken with PwnageTool, Redsn0w or blackra1n (NOT Spirit)
* Download Files (You must login or register to view this content.)

Enabled Factory/Service Mode - install openiboot with bootlace and then
you need to copy the zImage and android.img.gz files into /private/var/idroid

Tutorial:
Prepare a blank USB memory stick with only 2 files on it: Lv2Diag.self (file 1) and the modified 3.41 PUP file(Download You must login or register to view this content.)(UPDATE with MU link)
These must be in the root of the memory stick and there must not be other files on it.

- Insert the iPhone/iPod with the downgrade firmware in your console.
- Turn on the PS3 using the standard iPhone/iPod sequence; power cycle, power on, then quickly press eject. After a very short while the PS3 will power off.
- Turn on the PS3 to confirm that it is in Service Mode.(You should see a red box on the screen saying Factory Service Mode)
- Turn off the PS3 and remove iPhone/iPod.
- Insert the USB memory stick with the 2 files on in the rightmost USB port of the PS3 and turn it on. The screen will be black,
but the LED on the PS3 will blink.
– Wait 3 minutes for the system to install the old FW, towards the end the power button on the console will start flashing green and then your console will power off.
- Remove the USB memory stick and turn on the PS3. It will still be in service mode.

If you wish to downgrade to an earlier firmware you can do so now, there is no need to use modified custom PUP when the firmware has already been downgraded to 3.41.Quote me for different Firmware like 3.15.

- Insert USB drive in PC, delete the 2 files, and copy LV2Diag.self (file 2) to it.
- Insert USB memory stick and power on the PS3. After approximately 10 seconds it will power off.
- Remove the memory stick and power on the PS3. The procedure is now complete.

Do you lose any data by downgrading, as in save files and what not?

So theoretically why cant this be done with a linux box hooked up with a usb cable, pushing the required software to the PS3?

What exactly is the IPhone doing with the files when you hook it up to the PS3?

This is a great tut but I really need a better understanding of whats going on. So I took files you told me to using winSCP and put them on my iphone under private/var/idroid.

whenever I boot droid from openiboot it goes to this line saying my nvram is checked..done. And I can't do anything else.

I have alot of questions.
Do I need to download the latest version of Idroid and replace the zimage and the other file?
I press power and eject when after cycling? When I see a certain line of code running?
Just what do I do to do it the proper way because I'm so close but I just can't understand your tut very well, a video or reiteration would be greatly appreciated Happy
