Tutorial:
Rename the downloaded file to PS3UPDAT.PUP.

Have a clean flash drive, its easier to understand this way.

Create a folder on usb and call it PS3.

Create a folder in the ps3 folder on the usb called UPDATE.

Then copy the PS3UPDAT.PUP(downloaded and renamed file) into the update folder.

Then put the usb into your ps3, go to system update and update via storage media.

Yes it iz working...but yer as you said it isn't worth updating if you can't install any .pkg's

u also lose ur save data and anything under GAME

Does this remove the other stuff from the Game menu? Because in his he's only got them 2 folders... So does it take away stuff like Game Data Utility and Save Data Utility?

Gehot found the code sony uses on the PS3 to say, ok this is a product we give the ok to run on our systems. If the package/game/so on does not have this code it will not run, but jailbrakeing stopped that issue, but now gehot release the actual key to the system and now you just encode it into a game or package and just stick it in with a CFW(Custom firmware(Like we do on ipods/phones)) and your good to go:tits:

you can update it with 3.41 im pretty sure it doesn't matter... you just have to compile his script...
