If it helps ANYONE the exact error was "unknown pkg type 7f504b47"

EDIT: So now we're working on some stuff, trying to basically get the tools to work for Homebrew Applications. Links to the tools we're using will be below if you wanna help.

It includes the compiled PS3tools (Tools for signing and editing the .PUP files), the PS3 signing keys and PSL1GHT (PS3 Source Development Kit used for compiling homebrew applications. NOTE: The other applications that PSL1GHT depends on will NOT be included in the .zip, but I'll provide the download links for them as well)

Do you reckon it'd be possible to use the tools to actually edit the FTP server INTO the CFW or would it still have to be signed?

I was able to extract it with the unpkg tools but it's still encrypted...

MY SUGGESTIOn: Copy the directory of PKG FTP SERVER using 3.41 jailbreak, pack it and sign it. MIGHT WORK.

Yes you can emulate linux on a pc you just need the right programs, you could even do it on a ps3 before otheros was taken out......

That might actually work but packing a pkg can be a real pain in the ass

I know you CAN, but I can't because right now I'm not on MY PC I'm on my dad's

If anyone knows how to use these keys with fail0verflows ps3 tools, this will sign any pkg
