Mr Big

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im am very excited about CFW release but im very worried about one thing.

About 9 hours ago i was browsing on PSU fourms and i came across by the person was comment saying he already stored CFW on his PS3 and able go online with CFW....to Play MOH game for an hour. 5 hours later He turn his PS3 on again to play more but his PSN account got banned just liked that. (i don't know he telling true or not)
Other guy reply to him and said he believes that the Database was tracking it and that caused his account to banned.

I was shitting myself because i have heard the word of "Database" before and i found this link thread again from 2 weeks ago, of course i was there when i replyed it.

You must login or register to view this content.
This link here was originally disscusing about Trophy exploit but it was more into discussing about Database by Mcstyle24.

Just read it all until you get to page 2 when mc telling what database can do to your PS3.
Mc was ex-employee from Sony in past and i don't have premission from Mc because he wasn't signed in for a week.

So it's up to you guys if you planning installing CFW
Right now i really don't know if i should use CFW yet because of Database.

Sony can't tell your using custom firmware because the custom firmware is signed by sonys code, it's not over 3.55, and the version.txt still says 3.55. This mean all data that your PS3 is sending to sony is the official ligitamit 3.55 firmware files. The only way you can possibly be banned now is by running apps, games, homebrew that are not in stealth mode because sony does receive the list of games you have been playing every time you log on. There's ways around that too though such as deleting your game list or you account info...

This guy's right, if you also want proof its exactly the same as 3.55 go to your system settings and look at the name it says version 3.55 or whatever just as if it was official.

Possible? Highly. At this exact moment? Unlikely. You see I know for a fact Sony would have the ability to to detect any sort of mod or whatever you call it. The fact is you save stuff into memory, if you sign into the server and there are logs set up and this data does than = this then well YES you could get banned. I don't know anything about the CFW as of yet(didn't even know it was out) but if the hash or file size or whatever doesn't add up they can detect that, really its not that hard.

Of course now that we have the ability of complete control we could basically revert everything Sony puts in place, even bans most likely. Server sided stuff is a no go, as well obviously its on their server. So we have the possibility to be banned on one account but play on another, not just the other one if it was a server ban.

If you know ANYTHING about hardware then think... it is possible but now that we can sign we can pretty much get around anything.

EDIT: Technically we can be banned but we can always prevent it with the ability to get stuff signed. Ever see when you download a file it provides a hash well 3.55 has hash but if ours doesn't match then yes its detectable, but if we sign it and make it the same size, hash or whatever then Sony will have a hard time detecting.

For ONLINE cheating? YES, YES, YES. To cheat online you either have to mod the patch but now that we sign do expect an actual cheat device using ASM to mod games like to have Inf health/ammo etc. Problem with this? Its DETECTABLE. Also reportable which is a given. When you modify the RAM of some game(games assembly code) they can set up so the server can detect changes. Only way to avoid is somehow getting online(onto an actual game) but being hidden from the server or rewriting the code to be untraceable.

I'm thinking it is possible to detect. Something in the CFW is different then the OFW. When you connect online information about what FW your using is sent, but since this update has all the current stuff it won't have you update to current FW, however like i said something must have been added to the FW that might also be sent to Sony Servers. Point is Sony recieves these they can ban/block.
