Mr Big
Keeper
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im am very excited about CFW release but im very worried about one thing.

About 9 hours ago i was browsing on PSU fourms and i came across by the person was comment saying he already stored CFW on his PS3 and able go online with CFW....to Play MOH game for an hour. 5 hours later He turn his PS3 on again to play more but his PSN account got banned just liked that. (i don't know he telling true or not)
Other guy reply to him and said he believes that the Database was tracking it and that caused his account to banned.

I was shitting myself because i have heard the word of "Database" before and i found this link thread again from 2 weeks ago, of course i was there when i replyed it.

You must login or register to view this content.
This link here was originally disscusing about Trophy exploit but it was more into discussing about Database by Mcstyle24.

Just read it all until you get to page 2 when mc telling what database can do to your PS3.
Mc was ex-employee from Sony in past and i don't have premission from Mc because he wasn't signed in for a week.

So it's up to you guys if you planning installing CFW
Right now i really don't know if i should use CFW yet because of Database.

Just wait and see, and until you have any valid proof don't bother bitching about it.

Million Miles Of Fun!
Like Ive said it is detectable in SOME way or will be at some point in a sense and people will get banned for screwing up through their egos and end up getting a nice console ban. Actually I don't even think we fully KNOW how a ban works, I definitely think your normal bans are server side of course and once the time is up you get unbanned. Consoles are most likely server sided too but just block your entire MAC, IP and most likely your console ID and anything else to be secure, well lets hope Sony was smart with that at least, or now will be. Would be highly foolish of them to have it so it stores info on your PS3 to block you from going online.

Then again we can always get around that through some effort because we are now Sony Hackers of PS3. We can sign shit, yes we KNOW! Meaning we could make progys to allow us to sign in but blocking any validating by their server.

They can always ban us, we can always get around it. Anyways I really doubt many people here have ever used a toolchain that was shell based, hopefully this PS3 ordeal doesn't turn into noob central. I really see it getting to the point where people are going to end up getting rid of their PS3's.

It may be nice now but Ive been there and done that. It will only go downhill from here. Look at every console or device that has got exploited. Within reason most have gone downhill and some not so bad compared to others. PSP hacked... online cheating to the max, piracy. Wii modded, some homebrew more piracy. PS2 mods.... online game cheating and ISO support. I could go on and on all day. I repeat its going to go downhill! I can GUARANTEE people want the ability to get free games and cheat its in our race now. We want the fastest and easiest way possible to accomplish a goal..

Save Point
Allow me to interject for a moment. Seeing as how many people have already installed this custom firmware and how easy it is to install, not to mention all the publicity it's getting from the press e.g Gizmodo and the BBC Sony banning all these console will take a huge chunk out of the small Play station Network. Banning people will only make them want to pirate more games since they can't play on-line or stop playing PS3 all together. Thus Sony will lose money on the console they can barely sell. So no I don't believe they will catch every single person who uses the custom firmware, only people who have backup games or just download to many things freely from the Playstation store.

Also just my 2 cents :p

Looking for Suzzy
LOl @ when we create a CFW that stops the flow of data being sent to the sony server. I am positive that if there even is some database, a CFW can delete the flow of data being sent through.

of course sony can find out but they arent after people who does these things there after the big hackers not people who go into games and change things around theyre after people who messes with their servers and mod their keys. like that guy said every one who has an online account automatically is in sonys database think of it as this u lost your password so u need sony to send u a new one or tell you it.. evrything you do sends signals to sonys database so if they wanted to they can ban every1 so no point of worrying if they wanted to they can do it..:jim:
