(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This is just going to show you how you can easily test if a .pkg file is signed as official without having to go on your PS3 and test it, which you might test improperly.

First off you'll need to download this, its a retail(official/signed) .pkg extractor: You must login or register to view this content.

Then you just extract the .rar with winrar or a similar program and run the .exe file and use it..

Here's a screenshot as an example, just opening a non-signed non-official .pkg of ftp server: You must login or register to view this content.

So if you sign it as official successfully it WILL open on here, and will work on your PS3 with CFW. This is due to the program being run off what the PS3 private keys are.

With his signed jailbroken firmware, I think you will be able to use, the standard ftp server without any modification, because his FW, will ignore the keys for pkg's. Not sure but taking a guess

if the kernel is changed, then yes.

The problem is not signing it whilst it is unpakged, it's the fact that you need to sign on turning it back into .pkg!
