lol, just to be clear i was talking about the notion of piracy. As most want the info to pirate games. I just want to be able to run my Emus again. however, each persons perspective is different. didnt mean to sound like I was flaming. I agree with the not wanting a lawsuit as well. If anything I think Sony should hire him. Then again everyone said Apple should and look where that went.

This is pretty true for now, but in the future you will see signed PKG files.
For now the only way is to have a modded PUP file, that allows/blocks unsigned files.
If you understand how to hack value the ps3 intel, you will be able to convert it to a debug. e.g. The new 3.41E PUP is a Debug firmware, that runs unsigned PKG's. It runs just like a Debug console.
The way GEOHOT did it was extract the debug PUP and converted in to a 3.55 PUP, basically he has a 3.55E Firmware that runs through debug. Thats why he says in the video, "please dont patch lv2"

If anyone is wondering what the "kernal" is, its one of the files PSDowngrade uses to downgrade your system, I believe the file is "lv2diag.self" because isnt that what GeoHot modded this morning to install/run Homebrew?
