Sony's finding out if you've been naughty or nice as they begin banning jail broken accounts and consoles from the PSN.
A recorded customer inquiry over at the Sony Playstation Australia uploaded in Youtube revealed that Sony will be banning jail broken accounts and PlayStation 3 consoles permanently unless they restore the system. Sony will also be releasing Firmware 3.60 to further fend off hackers from infiltrating the console.

Looks like Sony is digging deeper into the situation as they resolve to banning accounts and consoles over at the PlayStation Network (PSN) once they find out that they’re containing custom firmwares inside the system. It was almost a week ago when we last heard of Sony suing several hackers for copyright infringement issues, and the end result is probably the new Firmware 3.60. The video also seems to mention that a banned account can only redeem itself when the console has been un-hacked. No details have been released regarding Sony PS3′s new firmware.

sony can't ban u fool!
They only can ban u when u update ur frigging console (ur console will brick and ur acc will be banned)
and if ur afraid of getting banned just stay offline and don't log in the playstationnetwork, so that u can prevent the updating issue, people nowadayss... :catfight:

Question. They are ONLY banning the psn accounts and consoles for those who have only the cfw installed?? Or are they doing both the people with cfw AND the people jailbreaking? I have not touched the cfw and I never sign in since I am still on 3.41. I also have recently installed "signed" 3.41 homebrew apps so I don't need to jailbreak the system. Will I be safe??....Or could Sony actually still disable my system?
