most people are using the cfw for backups and the first reason why they spended money on buying a ps3 is that playing online for free.
so if sony will ban people i think they will lose a lot of customers coz you can play with cfw on a xbox without being detected and with backups.
so would i really spend 299€ for a ps3 if i could have a xbox for 200 or less? i dont think so.
only a few people only installed cfw for challenge lobbys or emulators
but if i cannot play my back ups online and my console got banned i will say **** you sony. the psp sucks your mobile phones sucks and if you will bann ps3 cfw even this console sucks. you put away ps2 game emulation and other os. i will never ever buy a product by sony again. ylod sucked me up and a banned console would **** me up more to say bye bye sony forever and hello microsoft

What a load of bollox piracy was rife on both xboxs, ps1 and ps2 and Sonys earliers consoles were king. There losses are nothing to do with piracy but making a console that is so ****ing complicated to code games for developers would just prefer to code for the xbox as apparently the tools microsoft has provided for it are much better, Sony have no one but themselves to blame for their failures, I on the other love the ps3 but it is what it is.
Plus there competing with the big man and those guys know how to do business i mean they got ff13 ffs.
