(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The PS3's best type of drive to use is a FAT32, most new Portable HDD's or memory sticks come formatted as NTFS, and most people have no idea how to format them to FAT32 drives so the PS3 will read them..

The PS3 does read NTFS drives but only if they are smaller then 4 GB, the tool below will format ANY drive to make it FAT32, I am posting it because I tried so many methods to make my NTFS 320Gb HDD FAT32 and came across this tool. It is a common predicament so here is the tool.

It has no viruses, I use it all the time now and DEREKTROTTER downloaded it from me yesterday.

So is there also a way to get a 5-7gb file on fat32 HDD?

Mine says it doesnt support files over 4gb so what now?

extern HDD to play back ups for ps3.

I wanted to get resonance of fate to it, but the eboot.bin has over 7gb

So? This is to format drives to FAT32. Back it up to the ps3 HDD instead.

Hm is there a way to format the extern HDD into 2 parts?

Like 800GB FAT32
and 200GB NTFS ?

Will the ps3 read then the ntfs files?
