In the 3.56 the main point was to stop jailbreaks. The reason they did this primarily (not only reason) was pirated games and software. Plus modding.
The reason you can't jailbreak on 3.56 is because they can check your system for anything that is not included with 3.56 and they will ban you. So ya ur screwed.

That's actually not even close to why we can't jailbreak 3.56. We can't do it because no ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) keys have been found. To my knowledge, the keys KaKaRoTo found and posted to Gitorious were either, to my knowledge, not the right keys, or were not able to sign a 3.56 CFW. That's why all the people who claim they are packing PUPs and will release will just give you an official firmware file without them even knowing because they don't know of this information. So don't install any 3.56 "CFW," because they do not exist. Yet.

and the so called "rootkit" was always in sony products/software.. no one knew about it coz no one really cared until a dev stumbled upon something in the 3.56 pup..
