(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok I just installed multiMAN 1.15.04 on my jailbroken 3.55 CFW geohot PS3 and I decided to try and backup MW2. So I did it and after it finished I tried to play the game (the one I backed up) and all it did was boot me to XMB and didn't launch the game. Is there anything I didn't do correctly or anything I have to do first to get the game to play? Please help, thanks

UPDATE 2/10/11: I decided to get Waninkoko's v2 CFW and install it over geohot's. It works because I after I launched Black ops from multiMAN, it brought me to XMB and showed my Tony Hawk disc as BO instead. After that, I deleted the game utility of Black Ops and tried it launching from multiMAN again. Luckily, the game launched and it asked if I wanted to update, I clicked cancel and now I am successfully running a backup of Black Ops. Thanks for all the help guys:hitman:

do you need the disc to play the back up?

i think you have to change the EBOOT or something but im not sure, still looking around for help

Are you sure that you put any Game Disc to trick the console on to thinking that it its a rela game??

I can see two things your doing,

1. your cfw is not going to play backups unless you modify your eboot.bin file to work with geohotz cfw.

2. in mulitman 1.15.00+ in order to run blackscreen games you must press "SELECT + X" in order for it to run properly

also the backup must be on an external harddrive meaning you cannot use your ps3 internal HDD and a game disc must be in the ps3, any game will do.

Thanks for the help guys, so how do you modify the eboot.bin file to work with geohot CFW? And yes I did try the SELECT + X method but it still boots me to the XMB. Also, I did back it up on my internal HDD and also my USB flash drive, and then I tried a different game disc but it still will not work.

i would recommend switching to kmeaw's cfw or waninkoko v2 cfw those you dont have to modify the eboot just press "Select + X" and it should just work.

Geohot isn't for playing backups.

Get kmeaw CFW...

oh ok thanks alot man and which CFW are you using? Will kmeaw's or waninkoko v2 brick my ps3? 1 last thing, so do I just install one of the two over geohot's or would I have to get OFW first? Thanks again

but the version of multiMAN i downloaded is specifically for geohot's so I don't understand

i personally am using waninkoko v2 and it barely freezes on me. Others will say with kmeaw's because everybody is using it. both will not brink you ps3. lastly with kmeaw's you will need to get a lvl 2 patcher. You can find v9 on this site or You must login or register to view this content. waninkoko's v2 doesn't need this.
