yo use a hair dryer to heat up your cpu. by heating up your ps3 from the vents where your cables are. I did that today and it works.

I fixed my PS3 with this guide, but the problem came back after a couple of days.
Then I did it a second time and the problem came back after an hour!
So not such a great and permanent solution..

i didnt have a heat gun so poped the mobo in the oven on a tray, gas mark 6 10mins, left to cool, pasted up the heatsinks and poped back together and blam it worked

ps. ive fixed it 3 times and i still use 8months on, if u try it make sure the brown corners of the mobo are the only things touching the metal tray and 10mins EXACTLY.

peace

I am error
i took my motherboard in the metal thing that goes around it wrapped it a towel around it with a blow dryer inside turned it on for like 10 mins, and never even applied paste and popped it back together and its been working ever since and i didnt have a heat gun so i did it a cheap easy way although it is best to apply new paste and dont play without paste or it'll fry everything inside
