1. In the XMB (cross media bar), go to 'Settings'.
2. Scroll down to 'System Settings'.
3. Then scroll down to 'Backup Utility'.
4. Choose 'Back Up'.
5. Finally, pick the device to backup too (memory stick, USB flash-drive, etc).

1. Fully Restore Your PS3 ( 4 Hours 30 Mins )

2. Before You Put In Date And Time

3. Go Into System Recovery Mode
( How to go into recovery mode
- Hold down power button till it turns off

4. Go to System Update Via USb W/e

5. Download The OFW 3.55 or 3.41

6. The u Can Download The CFW To The System

7. Now u have a ps3 with CFW

8. BUT NOT DONE YET

9. To Sign In u Need FukPSN v.5

HOW TO INSTALL IT

Installation:

1. Install dev_blind.pkg and OpenPS3FTP on your PS3 (using FTP, external USB or what else)
2. Launch dev_blind and make it mount the flash
3. Open OpenPS3FTP and connect to it using a PC
4. Connect via FTP to PS3 (using username root and password openbox)
5. Go to /dev_blind/data/cert
6. Rename CA24.cer as CA24.cer.bak
7. Put my CA24.cer as /dev_blind/data/cert/CA24.cer
8. Set the PS3’s PRIMARY and SECONDARY DNS server to your PC’s IP address or 8.8.8.8
9. Reboot your PS3
10. Start fu(kPsn-v0.4.exe
11. Enjoy with PSN

Once you installed that firmware you can't format it that easily

Tryed this today and doesn't work on 160GB slim saw it on another thread that got deleted

3.56 is kept on the NAND, not the hdd. this will not work no matter what model you have. and belive me, i hate sounding like such a troll.
and yes, i did do it this morning. im only trying to save your time people. but go ahead and try, but its not gonna work. sorry. :cry:

I am going to tell you right now that I have been able to use every other way for downgrades from 3/55 and lower (psp jig, Iphone)... I have two ps3's one ofw 3/56 for playin legit and one 3.41 and im going to tell you right now it does not work, I tried it back when this 3/56 first came out to see if I was able to. I did full system restore and after went into recovery IT DOES NOT WORK! believe what you all like and feel free to waste your time... Just tryin to save yall some time and possible loss of data.. If it was that easy we it would have been out believe me!
