2. Scroll down to 'System Settings'.
3. Then scroll down to 'Backup Utility'.
4. Choose 'Back Up'.
5. Finally, pick the device to backup too (memory stick, USB flash-drive, etc).

1. Fully Restore Your PS3 ( 4 Hours 30 Mins )

2. Before You Put In Date And Time

3. Go Into System Recovery Mode
( How to go into recovery mode
- Hold down power button till it turns off
- then hold down again til u here the beap then the double beap
- Plug in remote)

4. Go to System Update Via USb W/e

5. Download The OFW 3.55 or 3.41

6. The u Can Download The CFW To The System

7. Now u have a ps3 with CFW

8. BUT NOT DONE YET

9. To Sign In u Need FukPSN v.5

HOW TO INSTALL IT

Installation:

1. Install dev_blind.pkg and OpenPS3FTP on your PS3 (using FTP, external USB or what else)
2. Launch dev_blind and make it mount the flash
3. Open OpenPS3FTP and connect to it using a PC
4. Connect via FTP to PS3 (using username root and password openbox)
5. Go to /dev_blind/data/cert
6. Rename CA24.cer as CA24.cer.bak
7. Put my CA24.cer as /dev_blind/data/cert/CA24.cer
8. Set the PS3’s PRIMARY and SECONDARY DNS server to your PC’s IP address or 8.8.8.8
9. Reboot your PS3
10. Start fu(kPsn-v0.4.exe
11. Enjoy with PSN

Im not saying it isnt possible but i herd you get stuck factory mode or something like that isnt that the same way as recovery mode?? I think it was a rather good idea to spoof the 3.55 by changing the ofw headers to 3.56 im not really sure if it works there might be more work to do from there on but it would be a good try in which again i doubt my method would work lmao!

I promised an update and here it is. Maybe I confirmed too many settings before entering recovery mode or maybe it just doesn't work. I chose English as my language and said yes to HDMI and turned it off right at the time zone setting.

Thanks for the update, maybe this will put an end to all the confusion.

i just think its not worth it as you get stuck in recovery or end up with YLOD any way best not to bother with downgrading stick with what you got anything is better then a brick semibrick / stuck at recovery

U dont Get Stuck in Recovery mode u get Stuck in Service mode /facepalm

You don't get stuck in any mode with this method. It just says its corrupt.
