I think so too. I dont really see them investigating every user that came on that site... Your talking about millions of IP addresses. DMCA is USA only. Then again, They have to proof we used the CFW. Which is possible. Hence the emails we got about removing our CFW. Then what they wanna say? "You used backups with geo's cfw" ? Not possible. His "CFW" did not allow that and he made it clear he doesnt want that to happen. After that came kmeaw, waninkoko etc etc, which supported backups.
If, and thats just a IF, geo loses this, they WILL come after kmeaw and all others. I dont know the US law but as far as i know, if you BUY something, its yours. Shit on it, piss in it, rape it, let it rape you, its yours. Period. But then again everyone entered a SONY server with MODIFIED code(PSN). I think thats what sony wants to proof.

Yea i know what u mean. the only reason they knew who was on cfw were was the old dns method, cuz me n a friend used it on his 3.60 ps3 and he even got an email sayinging that he was using cfw when he wasnt.

He was playing smart. They can win 1 casefile a.t.m. Against Failoverfl0w. Failoverfl0w released "tools" on which geo made the CFW. Thats what he claims, we all know that aint true. So geo is kinda a little bitch putting the fault to failoverfl0w team. He's smarter then you think. He's just saying: "Well failoverfl0w released the tools i used to do this." which makes failoverfl0w guilty on releasing the things. Failoverfl0w "pave the way" for geo.

yea i see what u mean.. Geo may have got the tools from F.O., but i dont think he should have put the blame on them like that... but hey there really isnt many ppl that wouldnt put it on F.O. if they were in geo's place. ofcourse there is the chance that the wont release something like that again bc of this but geo was just in it bc he wanted to build a cfw for ps3 according to what ive read. i wish DarkAlex would come back and make a cfw. he did a bada$$ job on the psp..

Uhm you dont get detected on using a bypass. I never bypassed, never went online on psn with cfw (yes i had my internet plugged in so it still sends stuff to psn.) and went to 3.56. Didnt format or anything and then i got mail after being a week on 3.56. I think they scan for concistency in files. If a file was first 22 KB and there is no reason to be bigger, it sets an alert that it got patched to 50kb. For example! I DONNOT know how the ps3 handles things :P Ive got 100 other theory's on how they see it but well never know i guess.
And yes, boot history is 1 of 'm.
