This is a .pup viewer that will allow you to examine the contents of a .pup. to use it just click File>open and locate the .pup file you with to see the contents of.
first off we will use envy_astro's cfw as an example. I WILL NOT LINK HIS CFW BECAUSE ITS FAKE
envy released a 3.55 cfw that alleged it spoofed 3.60 with the new auth. alot of people installed and assumed that it was a 3.55 cfw with psn but without peek poke and syscalls. In actuality it was a 3.60 OFW with two files deleted and the version.txt changed

the contents can be found in the modules folder. as you can see there is a date within the file names, and they are according to the release date of the firmware. since 3.60 was released in march of 2011 we know that envy's cfw must be 3.60 OFW and not a 3.55 cfw because all of his dev files are 3.60 files.
SO if there is ever a release of a firmware that promises something by a not so known dev, the best option is to view what is in his .pup, it can allow you to see if his files are what he is saying they are. remember don't make your self a guinea pig.

Feel bad for you dude. But you must have heard of liars. Never believe anything without confirmation and asking questions. The best you can do is stay on 3.60, play the patient game and wait until a dev release a CFW for 3.60. Just wait it out, play online games or do something to take your mind off it. Something will always come.

oh and the sheer fact that he said "it has nothing to do with the auth shit"
how can u make a cfw to get on psn without it having nothing to do with the auth passphrase
that in itself as we all no is what is stopping us from getting on psn atm

I guess the people downloading fake CFW's without "investigating" if its legit deserve a brick. That way we get less leechers here asking for CFW's. There are like 6 or so hackers, who made a difference, working on it. If a CFW is released, check their twitters... How hard can it be.
I only downloaded because there were like 3 pages of confirmation, from not only low rep people but also people with high rep, so I thought it was legit

personally i would of waited for more solid proof
but as you say 3 pages of yes it works
seems to make it legit
i had my suspicions from the start
my only worry is how can somebody be so ignorant and willingly let people download his pup knowing that it was infact 3.60 ofw
if u would of tested this on a 3.60 ofw 1st it would of said "the same version is already installed"
but then again i doubt u have 2 ps3's
