this idea will only work when connecting a 3.60ofw ps3 to psn using charles

we now need to figuire out how to get a ps3 certificate to register as a charles certificate
as in issued by charles

credit to "deroad" for the following files

right here was my idea i only tried 2 cer files that was ca24 and ca27the 1's we already use

the idea bassically was instead of putting the charles certificate into a 3.60 ps3 "which we cant do"

why not put the 3.60 ca24.cer certificate into charles because either way the cer's have to the same info in both files

eg: charles cer from the program renamed it to ca24.cer and replaced in ps3

like i said i only tried 2 of them not all of them

i got the 3.60 cer''s out of a rebuild folder which was posted on ngu

i cant test them all because i dnt have access to a 3.60 ps3 i borrow my neighbours sometimes when i want to try things

I will say I have thought about using Sony's CERT, not Charles. You need it in the proper format. I also think the cert as some sort of password on it, at least it appeared that way when I tried it.

i connected a 3.60ofw ps3 running threw dns and charles and it connected to psn

turned ssl proxy on and auth link said "invalid certificate"

because nothing inside the ps3 matches the certificate of charles or vica versa

i only have 1 ps3 on 3.55 cfw aswell so i cant try this out

i have tried it but only for about 10mins and i borrowed my neighbours ps3

the only way this will work is to use a 3.60 ps3 run dns server and charles because if this works u will be able to see the new passphrase in charles

Yeah could do but maybe its something in the charles cert we need, thats why we put that i the ps3, it could be they just need to match, i'm not sure.

thats what i was thinking

i dnt no if charles only works with the certificate that comes with it

or if it will work with replacing the information inside of it with 1 out of 3.60 ofw

Yeah, well theres nothing really we can do to try things, we have to get something from a 3.60 actually signing in and communicating with the servers because somewhere in all the data there will be the passphrase
